It goes together remarkably easy, and - if you have to move it - it also comes apart easily to store in a handy supplied travel bag. I was impressed with how they've designed this to go together basically one way so it can't be put together incorrectly. Once together ( a five-minute job, no kidding) it offers a WIDE and TALL area of forgiveness. For my purposes, it catches to occasionally off the mark throw, absorbs even strong energy, and drops the ball gently at the base. It's a great backstop and saves me from having to go into my neighbor's yard for errant throws. It works, perfectly and if I ever need to replace it, I wouldn't hesitate to get it again so I can easily recommend it for you.

I bought this as a backstop for my 10 year old daughter and myself to practice shooting on a regulation hockey goal. There are several products that attach directly to your goal - but based on my research they seemed to be longer term solutions because of the setup time, plus they only blocked 2 ft on either side of the net. Since we practice our shooting on the street in front of our house, I needed a good temporary solution that could be setup and knocked down easily so we could store it when done. When this first arrived, I had it un-boxed and setup within 15 minutes by myself. Now that I know how all the components fit together I can set it up and knock it down in 5 minutes very easily. We place the backstop just behind the goal - giving us roughly 3 ft on each side and 5 ft above (12x9 backstop sitting behind a 6x4 goal). The netting is the same size and material as our hockey net, so it easily stops pucks with no problems. I can absolutely recommend this as a backstop for hockey, especially since it's portable nature can be used for other sports as well.

We LOVE this net. It was very easy to set up and that’s because the directions are 5 star. Big pictures included in each step. I did it by myself. ‘Pats self on back’. We didn’t realize it was portable. You can assemble and disassemble in minutes. Comes with a very durable travel Bag that has wheels. I haven’t had the need to use the stakes as it stands on its own without issues here in the north east. It’s made of heavy metal and the netting seems very durable. We use it for lacrosse, soccer and just for good measure I even had the kids shoot pucks at it. They just fall to the floor so you don’t have to go chasing the balls around. Can’t wait to bring it camping this year. Adds another activity and I don’t have to worry about the balls hitting anything they shouldn’t. I honestly can’t come up with a complaint for this net. Great product that was made for people who love sports.

Very good barrier net. Have had this about 2 weeks. Have just let it stay up despite some thunderstorms etc. With modestly high winds it falls over if you don't stake the legs down(comes with stakes) into the grass. No damage. Could put some weights if on pavement but no harm. Big strong high school kids have shot lacrosse balls at it. Also use it as a barrier net for wayward pitches. My only complaint and I did not see this anywhere else is that on one of the leg stand pieces(piece A). The floor piece A-B, the A end doesn't fit all the way into the end A leg piece. Where I've marked it by an arrow, on the inside channel of the metal, there is a metal nub that seems to need to be shaved(where I've marked with an arrow). The other side it's smooth and the A-B piece fits all the way into place where the silver spring button pops into place through the hole. Everything seems to stay in place when I move it probably owing the constant tension of the side vertical arms. I emailed the company twice but no response. they asked that I call with any problems on a generic email but this doesn't seem to affect anything. I'm probably going to buy another one.

We put it behind a hockey goal to catch stray pucks. It does the job really well. It is very easy to assemble and take apart. I wish it could be just a little bit more sturdy but I don't have any complaints really. It could be used to catch anything going straight.

This product was significantly less expensive than nets designed specifically to work with basketball hoops, so we went with it as it looked like it would work well. And it's turned out great! It took very little time for my son (11) and I to put together and it fits nicely under the hoop. We have a portable hoop and this net sits against the pole and extends out in both directions to stop the ball from rolling down the hill behind it when a shot doesn't hit the backboard. There is only a small gap b/w the bottom of the backboard & the net. And the net is surprisingly stable - we can throw the basketball into the net and it doesn't fall over, it rebounds off the net & acts like a soft pass. This is a great unexpected benefit! We take the net down when it's not in use, as the setup relies on tension between the poles & net and we don't want that to diminish over time. The setup only takes a few minutes to string back up, so this isn't a big deal at all. Overall this product is exactly what we wanted, is very well made, and we look forward to playing with it all summer long.
