Description

The Quickie Bulldozer 18-Inch Push Broom is made with rugged material designed for DIY projects where light debris needs to be removed from sealed concrete, tile and other hard surfaces. Smooth surface push broom is designed specifically with soft, flagged polypropylene fiber to easily sweep dirt, sawdust and spackling powder. The broom head is set in a heavy-duty resin block with diamond plate design that won't warp, rot or crack under normal usage. This broom comes complete with clips attached to the block which can be used to store the broom unassembled. You can also easily remove the clips with pliers if desired. Quickie designs, manufactures and distributes over 300 cleaning products for traditional in-home use as well as contractor and DIY grade applications. The product line includes mops, brooms, dusters, dustpans, brushes, buckets and other supplies.

Bought this to sweep out the Garage, and it does the trick. Didn't want to spend $45+ on a push broom, so I went with this. It has worked fine for me, and as long as I don't muscle it around too much, it should hold up for a while. It is very light weight, which gives the illusion/feeling that it might break sooner than I hope. We shall see. Seems to be worth the $30 price tag so far. ... show more

    • If you have an epoxied floor, this is your broom

I had the concrete floor of my 1,200 sq/ft shop epoxied. No flakes or sparkles, because I wanted a smooth surface that would be easy to sweep. All of my other push brooms were too coarse on that surface, but this broom did an admirable job. Highly recommended for smooth surfaces.

It is best for extremely soft dirt. Not great for caked-on debris. Get stronger bristles for wet, or rough terrain.

    • Excellent broom, but there's a trick to installing the handle!

Broom itself is great, high quality. There are stiff bristles inside and soft bristles outside, making it suitable for a variety of surfaces. The tag says it has a 5 year warranty, which is awesome. There are tabs on the broom so the handle can snap in for transport. Unfortunately it didn't include instructions for attaching the handle. You'd think it would be a simple matter of screwing it in, but not quite. Finally I figured out the trick - I screwing it in partially from the opposite end - yes, in through the bristles - to help the threads get started. Then I unscrewed it and reinserted it from the correct end, this time pressing really hard while screwing it in. You have to press the handle in really hard while twisting it, to get the threads to start going in. Then continue screwing it in all the way. The result it worth the effort - the handle attached very securely with absolutely no wiggle-room. Awesome product in the end. Unfortunately the broom got very dirty just a few minutes later, but my floor is nice and clean haha! ... show more
