I ordered the 12 inch mattress and received the mattress on Dec 12th, I gave it time to expand. I decided to check today Jan 1st and it still only expanded to 10 inches. The good thing about the mattress is, it is comfortable.

The mattress is perfect for the pricepoint that it is - make no mistake about it, the construction makes this a great value, transporting it initially is fantastic especially if you're moving someone into a first apartment and need a bed. If you like a really firm mattress - this is even greater for value. However, if you need to add a $$ topper to it to make it sleepable because you like more medium/plush, be aware and adjust your budget accordingly... We only wish we'd have known it was as truly firm of a mattress as it is! ... show more

The mattress came in a box and vacuum sealed. When I unpacked it, I never imagined after about an hour I would see that it went to a firm form. The longer the day went the more firmer and sturdier it became. Really impressed. Will purchase again.
