  • Worth It
If you have projects that need a corkboard but you don't want one that takes over your wall like a spiderweb conspiracy, I highly recommend these. I got the 8 pack for $13ish. Bought some 12x12 frames at my local hobby store. I now have a goal board, a book layout board, to do list board, and project board. The other 4 are for if I decide I need more corkboards or I can also double stack them to make them even thicker. These ones are thick enough (almost a full pushpin thick). They are slightly flimsy/malleable but exactly what I need. I haven't used the adhesives that came with them. So, you let me know on that one. ... show more

  • Excellent for the workspace!
I love this product. I use these squares in contrast to the large single size boards that are ridiculously expensive. They can be easily attached to the wall side by side butted up against one another to make a solid looking corkboard at a very reasonable price! They come with 6 pieces, 1 foot square each with mounting squares stickers provided. They are very thin at nearly 1/4" or so. They are pretty solid but be gentle with them so as not to break off the corners. They do have a heavy cork smell out of the package so be aware of that. It does dissipate over a few days, but whew, that was surprising! They function like a regular corkboard and hold pushpins quite well. LOVE this! ... show more

  • They are super bendy and thin
I bought these to make a jewelry rack for a craft show. Pros: Cheap, at $10 / pack of 8 - 12x12 cork boards Pins stick in them Cons: Super bendy = not durable really thin, your tacs will poke out the other side I hear from other reviews that the adhesive supplied is absolute rubbish (I won't need it for my project) Final thoughts: I will need to add some more studyness behind them to make them free-standing. I'm sure they will work well if you put them on a wall, but pay for another adhesive and get shallow tacs/push pins. You get what you pay for. ... show more

  • Cork is decent quality, but...
So, the cork itself is decent quality. Have a shop-vac ready when you work with it because you will get cork dust everywhere. There are a couple of issues I had with this product, though. 1. The "squares" are not exactly square. They can be off by as much as 3/16" on any side. So if you are planning to create a large grid of them on a wall and you have OCD, you will be frustrated as the edges will not always line up exactly. 2. Don't use the little foam double-sided stickies - they suck. In the first place, they are pretty thick, so sticking one on each corner of the cork means that most of the cork is off-set from the wall. So this creates kind of a wavy pattern where the middles are concave and the edges are pushed out. Second, they only lasted about 4 months before all the cork squares fell off the wall. Oddly, almost all at the same time. At first I was inclined to blame the paint on the wall, but I realized most of the sticky squares split in the foam part with sticky left on the wall and on the cork. Do yourself a favor and just go get a few roles of Gorilla double-sided tape. It's thin and strong and you can just cover the area you want the cork with long strips of it giving you more surface area of tape for the cork to stick to. And they will all lay flat. Like I said, the cork itself is holding up well with lots of pins going in and out daily. If you can live with the two issues above this product will work for you. ... show more

  • Just What I Needed
The thickness of these tiles is 3/16" which perfectly suited my need. I have my kids' drawings and miscellaneous items on my cubicle walls and the randomness was driving me crazy. I thought cork tiles would help me organize things a bit better. These tiles are thin enough that I can attach them to the cloth cube walls with pushpins, but not so thin that I am concerned about tearing. They also are a great size. The one con, IMO, is the included adhesives. They're terrible. Out of a sheet of 32 I was able to use 2 - and I really did try to use all of them, just so I could give an accurate number. Except for those 2 I was not able to pull the backing off both sides of the adhesive tape. Bottom line: I will be buying another package of these tiles. ... show more

  • Great to display art
My child is really into art right now, so we built him an art desk to work at. We were looking for a way to display his work, and came across this. Really easy to stick to wall. I'm hoping when we move next year and take it down, it doesn't pull the paint off. We'll see then I guess. But it is a great way to build a display space for his art work. It is kind of thin, so you don't need to push the tacks all the way through as I'm sure it might put some tack holes in the wall. ... show more

  • Good counter top protector!
I like the cork squares. Some years ago I brought some cork plate mats at idea and I liked them. So after using them for a while, I decided to reuse them. I needed something to protect my counter top for the heat from my toaster oven and coffee maker. I had the round cork pads, but it would not cover the whole surface. So I used the plate mats and it worked fine. Now I live in a apartment complex and I still have my mats. I needed more for the counter top here at my apartment. I looked for them at ikea, but they no longer have them. I searched all around for cork and none of the stores had plain sheets of cork. Not until I checked Amazon and they have packaged squares. I bought one package and used it on my shelf for my coffee maker and air fryer. When you live in a apartment, there's not much counter space, so you have to go up. I bought a shelf unit that elevate and I can put things under it. So I need more cork for the rest of my counters. So when I decide to move forward into a new house again. I want to be able to get my security deposit back. I have 3 more packages of cork in my cart, to finish up my kitchen and to have extra in case I need to change them. I like cork. ... show more
