Description

The Quantum Storage Systems RWR72-1836LD four-tier standing wire shelving unit has four shelves and is made of chrome-plated carbon steel for strength, durability, and to resist dirt buildup and corrosion. Its open wire design offers visibility of contents, permits air circulation in the work environment, and helps resist dust build-up. The shelves adjust in 1" increments to accommodate items of varying heights, and have a welded construction reinforced with wire trusses and struts for strength. The posts are grooved at 1" intervals to help guide installation of the shelves at desired heights, and come with adjustable levelers to facilitate use on uneven surfaces. Split sleeves on the posts hold and support the shelves. This shelving unit has been manufactured to meet National Sanitation Foundation/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) Standard 2 for use in food handling and processing, dry storage only. The shelving unit measures 72 x 36 x 18 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It has a 300 lb. per shelf capacity when the weight is evenly distributed across each shelf. Assembly instructions are included, and no tools are required. Not all that impressed. I have several of these type of shelving systems from several different manufactures. The package was not damaged, the contents were zip tied together so they would not move during transport. Three of the four shelves were bent or were twisted right out of the box. Two of the sets of split sleeves were poorly made and the inside was nearly smooth. This required several dis-assemblies to hold the sleeve in the right position. The last point is there is no way you are going to put 300 lbs on any single shelf! It's just not heavy enough for that much weight. I'm in a time crunch and have to use this shelf so I will not be returning it. ... show more

Love these shelves! We have had several sets of them, some for close to 17 years!. They are durable, sturdy, don't bow or sag. Are easy to set up with another person helping, less easy but still doable by yourself. Super easy to rearrange the shelves (with everything off of them, of course) since never a tool required, just patience and a little time. The only thing they've ever "failed" on is that the black ones sometimes chip their paint (or whatever it is) off. The silvers never lose any pigment or paint or whatever is on the black. Note; even though some pictures show them, this particular set (RWR72-1836LD 4-Tier Wire Shelving Unit, Chrome Finish, 300 lb. Per Shelf Capacity, 72" Height x 36" Width x 18" Depth ) does not come with wheels. They just have the adjustable feet things, and we definitely needed the front right one to make up for sloping floor in our bedroom. ... show more

The shelving works for our purpose, basement storage. But some shelves arrived bent (see photo). One of the vertical pillars had a bent top that I had to carefully fix with pliers so I could screw in the top part of the pillar. I bought this shelf as a replacement for a larger one taking up too much space in my office. Unfortunately it arrived damaged, with one shelf bent/dented. I can also tell the construction is not as sturdy as the one im replacing. The wire is more thinly gauged and there is a slight bow despite the shelves being underweight. There arent many options for alternatives, so im keeping it, but in my opinion the cost of this shelf is not worth the quality you are receiving. ... show more
