I love Turkey Hunting. It's one of the few types of hunting where you can actually interact with the game you are hunting. I'm out in the woods a lot in May. Sometimes I'm hunting from a blind where weight isn't really and issue and other times I'm covering distance where light and lean is a factor. I have a very expensive Sitka vest that is as close to perfection as I have experienced with a vest but at a price tag of over $250. Thank goodness it was a gift. The QOGIR vest is $200 less and gives me 80% of the performance of my Sitka. Likes: - Very lightweight at 1 1/2 pounds - great for run and gun - Very adjustable with nice fit - Most of the pockets I look for - Has shell loops in lower right pocket - Rear lightweight pack with just enough room for my rain gear and a snack - Hydration pocket for a bladder - much more convenient than carrying water bottles - Quiet pocket for box call - Secure pocket for several strikers - Well made Dislikes: - The pot call pocket really only holds one pot call in the upper right side pocket. I put a second pot call in the lower right side pocket where I also keep a few extra shells and it works fine. - The camo pattern is not brand name but I haven't had a turkey complain as it fits the woodland environment I hunt very well ... show more

Love the camo pattern and all the extra pockets. The seat is extremely comfortable and durable and does not make noise when moving around. Stitching seems like it’s holding up great value is on point.

    • Nice light weight turkey vest for hunting on the move

I was in the market for a light weight vest to switch to this year for those times when the birds arent co-operating and I have to chase them instead of letting them come to me. My other turkey vest is just big and bulky for doing this as it has a built in back frame and large game pouch on the back which is great when hunting in a stationary spot but is just not ideal for slipping thru the woods quietly. The things I like about this vest: It is much lighter than my other vest as I had hoped for. It also have an adequate amount of storage pockets for all my calls and such. Since it is lighter it has a removable set of leg straps that hook on to the shoulders to secure a bird to your back instead of a large pouch like my other vest has. The only down side to this vest for me is that it is very marginal on being large enough for me. Granted I am six foot tall and 280 lbs but I use pretty much all the slack it has to offer in the adjustments on it. ... show more

I'm a Sitka gear lover so when I saw this vest I wanted to compare it to my Sitka gear since it looked so similar. This vest is very light weight but seems to be made of great material. It seems to have a pocket for everything and the straps and rings are top notch. I'm actually so impressed with this vest. I guess I'll have to start venturing out from Sitka because my buddy and I got them mixed up when we were looking at them comparing the two. Great product. TL;DR: This Turkey vest impressed me, and I will definitely be using it this spring! My first concern out of the box was that this vest doesn’t have a licensed camo pattern like one from real tree or mossy oak, but as you can see from the photos, it does a fine job compared to NWTF obsession, new bottomland, and even multi cam. It really takes a side-by-side in the same photo to understand how it really looks. Next, I was a bit concerned when I looked at the official product pictures and saw that certain pockets were not labeled correctly (slate call vs box call), but I put all of my essential Turkey gear in the pockets and everything fits. There are bonus pockets behind some of the main ones too. I initially didn’t like the mesh pockets for the mouth calls because many of them are brightly colored these days, but the mesh is actually thick enough to mask the color sufficiently. They really did their homework! The quality of construction was great. I was impressed by the material quality. It’s comparable to some other high end hunting products I have. If you’re looking for a reliable, effective Turkey vest for $50 less than the name brand, try this one out! ... show more

This vest is perfect for turkey hunting. It's got a lot of pockets for everything you'll be carrying. It's made of a soft quiet material. The camo pattern is sufficient, although nothing really special enough to write home to mom about. The seat is nice. It's thick memory foam that isn't just squishy and useless. It actually gives some support. It has rubberized material on the bottom of the seat, so no wet behind! The back and straps are padded and breathable.
