The depth of this dish makes it perfect for an extra layer for lasagnas and nice fluffy breakfast stratas. I also like that the higher sides prevents spillage when traveling with the dish. I bought a matching 9x13 Pyrex lid that fits perfectly!

I finally had to give up my mom's pyrex dish after 30 years. It had a chip that made me nervous to use. This is thick, sturdy and perfect for everyday baking.

Item described as a PYREX baking dish, but what was received was a pyrex dish. pyrex dishes are manufactured in China using an inferior silica and break when going from high heat into cold temperature.

These used to be made with borosilicate but switched over to tempered soda ash which is less forgiving with thermal shock breakage. The date of the switch is not known publicly. Still a grat product fir the price.

PYREX rocks. This is the perfect casserole dish. Having the little bit of extra depth makes this perfect for Lasagna, Moussaka, Shepards and Cotagge Pies, or Mac & Cheese, to name just a few foods that do better in a deep dish IMO.
