  • Great bowling ball
Color: 1-Black/Silver Size: 11 lb
Only just started bowling for a month and got hook so decided to pick up a nice reactive ball. This was my first Bowling Ball and within the first month of using it, I got my PB high score of 234. Hooks hard! Probably would have never achieved 200 club without getting this ball. I was averaging 80-100 using house balls and after I started using this ball my average jumped up to 150-170 within a month, also achieving my 234 high score. ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised
Color: Blue/Dark Blue Size: 16 LB
I received this ball in good order. I've tried other balls and they were ok but I couldnt believe the control this ball gives me, I throw a stroker style curve and this ball breaks just at the right time. I went to league that night and bowled a 223 226 and 216 hows that for consistency. Highly recommend. Don't let someone tell you this ball is a cheap build or its ok just because they may not recognize the brand. ... show more

  • My first ball
Color: Black/Hot Pink Size: 10 LB
I'm a beginner at bowling and I bought this ball as my first to get better at hooking the ball and playing on wet conditions. It does exactally what pyramid says it will do. Might get a higher polish to get better dry lane reaction. Overall great ball, rolled my highest game so far! Edit:gave this 4 stars because the item received was polished at a 1200 SIAA and not 1500 as listed. ... show more

  • Great Entry-Level Ball!
Color: Black/Hot Pink Size: 8 LB
For an entry level ball (my first) this was a great purchase! Had it drilled locally to fit me perfectly, and while it took a couple games to get used to the new dynamics of this ball (and the various ways I can throw it to achieve different spin effects), I can honestly say I love it! The spin is predictable, I can throw it 3 different ways and achieve 3 uniquely different spin profiles, and my accuracy is getting back to where it should be where I can start bowling above 200 again! Would definitely recommend this ball to anyone getting into bowling and learning new shots. ... show more

  • Fantastic looking ball
Fantastic looking ball! Be careful with the drilling - I recommend the "versatile" layout, where it's good on all lane conditions. My local bowling shop said this ball didn't have much hook, and I (foolishly) let them talk me into drilling it "dynamically" - big mistake, now I have too much hook; and I'm having to re-learn how I throw the ball to adapt for this. But this ball will perform great, awesome beginner ball. ... show more

  • My first Ball Success Story
I am a beginner bowler, have no idea what I am doing, but eager to learn as I LOVE it and just joined a league. Me and my boyfriend got this exact same ball in different colors and it bowls great for both of us after a week. I was bowling 9-10lb house balls, I got this in 11lb and its really wonderful. He was bowling 11-12 house balls and got a 13lb for starting which he really loves too. I will say, based on what you want to do with it, work with your pro shop to get it drilled correctly and you too will have your first favorite bowling ball. Based on how he throws his, it has a solid sharp hook at the end which he is getting used to but loves and mine has a more subtle arched hook which works great for me. I can also throw it straight if I need to based on my positioning. Just make sure you tell your pro shop if you want to hook or throw it straight. From my experience this first week using it, it is a subtle hook which is honestly perfect for learning. Either way, it is LIGHTYEARS ahead of house balls and so much better for my wrist as I am a massage therapist and take special care of my body mechanics on the daily. ... show more

  • Great Price for Great Performance
Bought this ball for my girlfriend for her first ball. At time of purchase I was wary of the reviews for the purple/steel blue color, but my girl really wanted that color, and I am very satisfied with my Pyramid Antidote, so I pulled the trigger on the 10 pounder. Ball was at my door 3 days later and it turns out she loves the color, so my only concern was thus put at ease. Brought it to the lanes even though it wasnt drilled yet. I throw a 15 pound ball and ive adopted a 2 hand release at about 375rpm ~13mph so I decided I could easily throw a 10 without any holes. Grabbed it for a pin up CG flared out released around board 5 towards middle arrow. Skidded straight and very neatly moved back into the pocket for a strike. My buddies were making fun of me using my girlfriends ball, but the joke was on them!! Path Rising has a great, dependable movement, and at $75, im thinking about adding one of these pearls to my bag! ... show more

  • Great ball for beginners
Color: Blue/Dark Blue Size: 16 LB
Let me preface this by saying if you want a "standard" hook that rips from left to right to pocket, you won't want to go here. That said, most of you *able* to bowl that way won't be looking here anyway. This is a great ball for people just starting out, or people who don't want a ton of hook but still maintain the weight and power that comes with a hooking ball. Plastic balls and house balls will bounce off pins and are great for spares and kids, but if you want to upgrade your game you're going to need something with force behind it -- thus hooking balls or balls with a weighted center. For me, I've never liked going from left to right to pocket, or the standard shot. It just feels boring to me and too reliant on oil conditions. If a lane is oily, you need to orient several whole arrows, often 20-30 boards. For this ball, you're going to want to be close to center. Not working? Go farther right. Too much hook? Farther left. But you're only really gonna work in that 5-15 board layout. I also enjoy this ball because it's a good versatile ball - as in you aren't locked out of picking up spares unless you perfect your wrist motion. For me, I sometimes give a bit of hook still for the 10 pin, but this won't curve enough to negate my shot unless I'm really not trying. I like that. All in all, this is a ball that does what I need it to do. Just make sure you know what you need it to do as well and you'll be happy. ... show more
