  • Russell bowling ball
Color: 1-Black/Silver Size: 13 LB
I am not a fan of the bowling ball. I purchase the bowling ball for spare shots. My spare shot activity went down. Select another bowling ball and the spare shot went up. Could be useful for bowler using it for a house ball. I put the ball on the shelf, Probably will not use it again.

  • Great ball for beginners
Color: Blue/Dark Blue Size: 16 LB
Let me preface this by saying if you want a "standard" hook that rips from left to right to pocket, you won't want to go here. That said, most of you *able* to bowl that way won't be looking here anyway. This is a great ball for people just starting out, or people who don't want a ton of hook but still maintain the weight and power that comes with a hooking ball. Plastic balls and house balls will bounce off pins and are great for spares and kids, but if you want to upgrade your game you're going to need something with force behind it -- thus hooking balls or balls with a weighted center. For me, I've never liked going from left to right to pocket, or the standard shot. It just feels boring to me and too reliant on oil conditions. If a lane is oily, you need to orient several whole arrows, often 20-30 boards. For this ball, you're going to want to be close to center. Not working? Go farther right. Too much hook? Farther left. But you're only really gonna work in that 5-15 board layout. I also enjoy this ball because it's a good versatile ball - as in you aren't locked out of picking up spares unless you perfect your wrist motion. For me, I sometimes give a bit of hook still for the 10 pin, but this won't curve enough to negate my shot unless I'm really not trying. I like that. All in all, this is a ball that does what I need it to do. Just make sure you know what you need it to do as well and you'll be happy. ... show more

  • Like reactive resin balls, but don't like tons of hook?
Color: Red/White/Blue Size: 14 LB
I am a stroker. Old school. Like Earl Anthony in the 70s old school. I need some hook, but not tons of it. Most reactive resin bowling balls openly advertise how much hook they can generate, and I had a ball like that once. I simply cannot bowl like that, so I went out looking for a ball that a stroker in his late 50s can handle. Well, here you go. My ball driller put the middle finger hole right over the pin, and I was off to the races. I can even get those dang 7 pins (10 for you righties) most of the time without a spare ball. The only bad thing is, it's made in China. If that bothers you, there are probably others made elsewhere to buy, but this one works. ... show more

  • My first Ball Success Story
Color: Purple/Steel Blue Size: 11 lb
I am a beginner bowler, have no idea what I am doing, but eager to learn as I LOVE it and just joined a league. Me and my boyfriend got this exact same ball in different colors and it bowls great for both of us after a week. I was bowling 9-10lb house balls, I got this in 11lb and its really wonderful. He was bowling 11-12 house balls and got a 13lb for starting which he really loves too. I will say, based on what you want to do with it, work with your pro shop to get it drilled correctly and you too will have your first favorite bowling ball. Based on how he throws his, it has a solid sharp hook at the end which he is getting used to but loves and mine has a more subtle arched hook which works great for me. I can also throw it straight if I need to based on my positioning. Just make sure you tell your pro shop if you want to hook or throw it straight. From my experience this first week using it, it is a subtle hook which is honestly perfect for learning. Either way, it is LIGHTYEARS ahead of house balls and so much better for my wrist as I am a massage therapist and take special care of my body mechanics on the daily. ... show more

  • Rolls like a dream
Color: Blue/Dark Blue Size: 15 lb
I've been using the same ball for about 10 years and decided it was time to get a new one. First 2 throws were terrible. Embarrassing to say the least. Then... X X X / X X Not too shabby. Those frames also coincided with my edibles kicking in so that may be a factor. Love the ball.

  • Has not met my expectations
Color: 1-Black/Silver Size: 15 lb
Not really worked out like I’d hoped.

  • Just as expected
Color: Red/White/Blue Size: 12 LB
The package arrived in a timely manner. I used this ball to improve my bowling skills. Works well for bowlers with low rev speed. Just enough reaction to hook the ball with minimum effort. I bought a 12lb. Don't see the need to use a heavier ball after using this one.

  • Awesome
Color: 1-Black/Silver Size: 10 LB
The ball is great. My son has a couple bowling balls being on the high school team and league and this is his favorite when the lanes and several different oil patterns. He curves it a lot so used a different ball when the lanes are very dry
