For me, best usage for my time and $. It'll take 4 gals. water but I like 3 or 3 1/2. I buy 3 gals. water for wash & 3 gals. for rinse for $0.99/gal. ( cheaper than paying at home for all that water ). And the wise person always has water such as that at home anyway. If I need to heat it a little, just pop it in the mic-wave. I wear size medium. I'll feel good about doing 3. Or, my size 13 socks I'll do about 5 prs. long sleeve light weight shirt, I'll do 2. I use about ( 3 medicine dropper squeezes = 1/2 tsp. = 1/8 fl. oz. As suggested, I do a quick clothing rinse before starting. I think that means less detergent needed. The wash action of this machine is impressive. ... show more

    • Doesn't rinse well.
I bought this and found that it washed very well, but I had to rinse at least 5 times and there was no way to wring out the water. Very clumsy. I returned it after my first use.

    • Impressive little monster
This little guy is a hard worker. The day I got it, I ran it back to back 6 times. Its does a great job, has a pretty strong pully system running the agitator. And is really quiet. I use this to clean my microfiber cloths because I do automotive detailing and is saves so much water compared to using a full size for just a few cloths. Be careful not to overload this little guy though. The motor is under a lot of stress and could use a little time to cool off at times. Yes some people have had leaking issues with it, but what mainstream brand makes a little guyblike this? None. So if you really want this little guy, then you may need to be crafty to seal up a leak once in a while if a leak does appear. I haven't had any issues so far, and if I do, I'll be more than happy to fix it because compared to all the other mini washers out there, this is easily the best made. Its worth my time. This washer machine is what I was missing, I just bought it recently but so far so good, is perfect for my small apartment, it washers very quietly and it cleans the clothes as good as the commercial machines, I can take it from one place to another with no problem that’s how lite it is, plus it looks cute. ... show more

    • This works well in washing clothes, but no spin basket.
This portable washing machine works well for washing clothes. It's not too loud. It fits quite a bit of clothing in it. It doesn't have spin basket to spin-dry the clothes in, but I knew that. You have to wring out the clothes afterwards or get them dry or semi-dry in some way. I used a large salad spinner (Farberware) to spin-dry my clothes in after they were washed, & it worked well. I could have spent more on a portable washing machine that had a spin basket with it, but I wasn't wanting to spend more. I ended up buying a spin dryer & glad I did. I wash my clothes in this portable washing machine, then spin out the excess water in the spin dryer. Then I hang my clothes up to dry. Washing clothes just for myself works out alright in this small washing machine. ... show more

    • A Few Issues, but it works well.
The instructions for use did not match the design of the washer. There is only one cycle. The water fills the tub quicker when the tube is disconnected from the hole it's supposed to attach to and placed directly inside the tub. Hard to find a place to set up the unit because the fill tube was too short to reach the sink when I placed it on the floor, and the drain tube was too short when I placed the unit on a tote. The media could not be loaded. I had a bigger vision of this but it died after 12 years of use. Needed a new one since the laundry rooms at my complex are always taken over the meth addicts here in ABQ. I clearly use mine differently then others. I place mine in the bathtub propped up so the motor underneath doesn't get wet. I fill mine with a hand held shower head instead of a bucket. I put in a floating lint filter to get some of the lint out. I also do a wash cycle, rinse cycle and a final rinse with fabric softener added. I wring out my clothes and either hang dry them out in the current heat wave that's happening right now or I hang dry them from a rod I have hanging above my shower. ... show more

This is straight out the box, I see a lot of scratches on it, looks like some sort of liquid residue on the front blue tank. The bottom is really dirty? I used it 2 times with the 15 min cycle. After the first cycle ended i let it sit for 20 min before running the next one and the washer just stopped spinning. Each cycles i only put in 2 gallons of water with 1 shirt in it and it stopped working. So i feel like the machine works great but i just have a used product ... show more
