It's got dual humbucker pickups that give a solid sound. Loveee it! The neck is comfy and easy to handle, and the solid paulownia body makes it lightweight but still feels solid like. I ordered the Natural wood color guitar and ended up receiving the Matte black one instead. I kinda regretted ordering the Natural wood one so I guess it worked out. The guitar is what you would expect. Sounds fine.

My youngest decided he wanted something more than his acoustic and wanted something to "jam with". Sooooo, this is a great combo to start with. Its a full sized unit and has good sound. The weight feels good in the hands and visually it hits high. The amp is just loud enough to get it done but not annoy the neighbors. It comes with everything you need (cabling, strap and such) and is plug-n-play out of the box! This is our first Pyle instrument and so far I'm quite impressed for the price. I'll be buying more of their product down the road, I'm very satisfied with what I see. Now I just need to teach him a few classics! ... show more

My son has been taking a few guitar lessons at school and he seems dedicated enough for us to purchase him a guitar of his own. We were drawn to this one as it comes with a mini amplifier as well as a carry case ideal for taking to school and also we know of the brand so we’re fairly certain it would be good quality. We are so impressed with it. The build quality is much higher than we were expecting and it’s a really nice looking guitar. The sound quality is great (although I do appreciate that he can put headphones into the amp). I would recommend and say it’s a great set especially for those starting out. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a nice all-in-one set that anyone from beginner to advanced can appreciate. I bought this as a guitar for my son to be able to bring anywhere, like when he goes to friends’ houses. He does have other guitars and amps but this one is uniquely portable. It was at the right price point that he doesn’t have to stress too much about it either. For the price the whole setup functions well. The mini amp works great and is a nice size to carry around, it even has a carry handle. Everything else fits in the guitar case so he has everything in the same place. The guitar itself is excellent, it feels well made and keeps its tune. It was nice that the set included a tuner. He uses that often since he isn’t tuning by ear yet.
