Wasn't expecting this amplfier to sound as great as it does. Powers my custom built speakers perfectly. Really like the 5.0 Bluetooth capability, may just part with my 200 disc cd player after i load my phone up. This replaced an old sansui unit in my pole barn shop, am actually surprised how crystal clear each fm station is. Wish it had station presets, you can punch in the number after a search. Cranked this for a few hours, didn't get hot. It doesn't have a fan, I guess it doesn't need one. The remote is very simple but effective. Other than the volume knob having notches when turned (which makes it skip at least one up or down and the reason for 4 stars) this device is great for the price. Those that are complaining about the RCA connectors having static are just using poor RCA cables. I did not run into this issue. It has no static if you use decent cables. Bluetooth works great and easy to connect. Also, the remote bottom buttons you have to long press to get them to work which is in the directions but easy to overlook.     • Terrible sound quality and substandard construction with dubious Bluetooth.
Purchased this as a compact unit to save space in a smaller entertainment center. From the get-go, it was impossible to dial in the sound. The bass, no matter how I set the knob, somehow both hit with a strange, crispy high-punch (sounds that were supposed to be 'deep' had more of a hi-hat 'whack') and a deep, constant rumble that warped the sound - and added a muffled quality. The treble knob was more of a 'noise' knob, acting like a bad sharpening filter; anything at middle or above added a loud, audible hiss to everything - even silence. All I could do was turn it down to 1/3, which exacerbated the bass problems. The Bluetooth had serious issues; from the ridiculously loud "ping!" telling you that it was, in fact, connected, to an intermittent 'click click' in the music - and, finally, to the problem of putting the music even *more* into an audio can. It also had some kind of caching problem, which was super bizarre, where part of a song looped over itself for a couple seconds. Weird. The source and control buttons are very cheap plastic with weak feedback, and the internal SD card and USB ports were a bit crooked inside the case.     • Good sound quality
Really like the sound quality of this unit. Small and doesn’t take up a ton of space. The remote doesn’t work, and have yet to get a repaid me from the company’s customer service, but not a big issue for us. Very easy to connect to the power is stronger than we expected it to be.

    • Its fine if you don't need high quality.
Most of the criticism of this item is accurate. While it does do precisely what is advertised, there are so many little issues that plague this item. 1) preset volume is awful. When you power the device on, it appears to be at max volume. The signal to indicate connectivity is uncomfortably loud. 2) the Line Out produces a low level hum in any subwoofer I have attached to it. I have tried manually adjusting the volume controls and settings, but the best I can do is minimize this effect. The cable I am using is a shielded cable, and the subwoofer is brand new and does not hum when disconnected or attached to a different receiver. 3) the interface is not intuitive and confusing. This is only an issue until you get accustomed to how this receiver is set up, but for a novice, it creates a poor setup experience. 4) the remote is also laid out in a non-intuitive fashion. The remote has 31 buttons where 5 would suffice. Vol up, Vol Down, Mute, Mode, and Power. As stated by others, however, it lacks a power button altogether, and the mute button isn't marked mute- its marked pause. Even if you use this for radio or pulling audio from USB or SD Card, you will only need a couple of extra buttons. I don't want to call the remote useless, but it is certainly not ideal. 5) Bluetooth on the device likes to disconnect when its not actively transferring data. It reconnects immediately when data is transferring, but that is accompanied by a loud, annoying click (louder than the current volume setting). All in all, this amp would probably be fine in a workshop or garage where ambient noise covers the extra hum and clicks, and expectations for the sound quality are not that high. However, if this is going to be part of your entertainment center, the additional issues are likely to annoy you enough that you will wish you spent an extra $50 and got a higher quality receiver. ... show more

Chose this unit for all the media options FM tuner, SD, USB, BT, HDMI and optical for TV. Will go under our pavilion so needed to be compact. Paired with DUAL brand 6.5" 3 way spks #LU63PB. The amp pairs nicely with these speakers. So far pretty impressed for the $ paid. Did a quick test before installing very user friendly and easy to use. Although I will mainly use a USB and run the optical through the TV I did try the Bluetooth and paired very quickly. Was able to toggle tunes from the unit the remote and my phone. ... show more
