I'm launching into playing a guitar a little later in life and I find this beginner package to be really complete and easy to start playing a guitar. There is a lot packed into the kit: setup and use instructions, an amp, zip-up carry case, strap, tuner (this is a little gem!), extra strings, 1/4" cable, whammy bar, picks, and even allen wrenches for adjustments. The tuner is great - has settings for guitar, violin, bass, ukulele, and chromatic. The color changes to green when you're on the note and it confirms which string you're on (or should be on - big plus for beginner!). The case has a pocket for carrying extra stuff. It's a thin case but it certainly gives you a way to protect and carry the instrument. The guitar itself, I think, is beautiful. It has a dark gray "ripple" under the black gloss. Looks really cool. I started lessons this week and my instructor was impressed with how light it is and liked the options it has for choosing pickups and making adjustments. The amp isn't super complex and gives you a good variety of sound from near-acoustic to crunchy. The amp is small and easy to grab-n-go but really puts out the sound if you turn it up. Very impressive. I'm super pleased with it. I was able to pick it up the first day, tune it and start playing. Now I'm working on scales and "Smoke on the Water". Looking forward to years of use. My son picked it up as a first-timer and found it comfortable to play and he's 13. Certainly worth the 5 stars. ... show more

Great for Beginners and Intermediate Users
Color: Black Size: 39"
I loved this guitar as soon as I saw the picture. I'm not a rock star, but I love a guitar that makes me look like one! This is actually my second Pyle guitar. My experience with the first definitely drove my decision to buy this one. It's nice and sleek and a little bad a$$. Right out of the box, even if you didn't know a lot about guitars, the instructions are well-written to explain what you can expect tuning a guitar that has never been played, including how to stretch the strings and play with the board to get it set up correctly. The little tuner that comes with the guitar was definitely more intuitive than some of the cheapy ones I have seen, and it was very easy to use. Love the mini-amp. Strumming my guitar in my room alone is what I'm doing 95% of the time I'm playing, and having the mini-amp is perfect for that. It gives me a clear idea of the sound I would get out of an amp without all of the hassle and set-up of a bigger rig. I love that it is portable and has a decent number of settings for such a small device. The guitar is comfortable and has a great sound. It's clear, with no distortion (unless that's what you want) and is easy to play. I would highly recommend this guitar for someone who is just getting into guitar playing, or who has an intermediate level and likes to look cool while playing. Hope you have as much fun as I have. ... show more

Perfect Budget Guitar to Jump Back Into Music
Color: White Size: 39"
I absolutely love this Pyle Heavy Metal EG Fire Electric Guitar Axe with Amp—it’s an incredible value for the price and punches way above its weight for a budget-friendly setup. The guitar feels solid, sounds great for practice and casual playing, and the included amp makes it unbelievably easy to plug in and start playing right away. It’s been a perfect, low-stress way to get back into making music, and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. ... show more

Good kit for such a reasonable price.
Color: Legacy Size: 38"
Been messing with this for a couple of weeks now. Came well packaged with picks, straps, extra strings, etc. Wanted a guitar I could leave out and not worry about my kids damaging my expensive guitars. If I put them away, I tend to never play them as you can tell by my lack of skills. Anyways, tuned up and stretched out the strings a few times. Has held tuning well. The frets smoothed out after playing for a bit and now bends and vibrato feel good. There were no sharp fret ends either. Neck was straight. Only made small adjustment to action on low E string and that got rid of the fret buzz. Also adjusted the pickups closer to the strings. Volume and tone knobs are smooth and work well as does the pickup selector switch. The amp is small but perfect for practicing. It only lacks a bit of bottom end/base but that would be the same with any amp of this size. It still gets much louder than most will ever need as a practice amp. There is a clean and distortion channel and the tone/gain knob gives more versatility. Overall I’m surprised such a nice kit can’t be had for such a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend it. You can spend hours messing with the amp and guitar to get different tones but I don’t have that kind of time. I tried to show just a couple of sounds in my video.....not demonstrate my skills, because I have none. ... show more

Color: Black Size: 39"
Updated review! Have had about a year now and now it does not work the part where you plug the amp in kept coming loose and we had to keep tightening. Now it no longer works even with new amp coord Purchased this for my son for Christmas and he loves it.. however after 2 weeks the amp will just cut off at moments or just static. Ended up buying a new amp coord. ... show more

It's a beautiful guitar with a unique sleek design and comfortable construction and has a big sound
Color: Legacy Size: 38"

The PYLE electric guitar I just got in April 1st is awesome. It is beautiful with a really sweet looking physique all around. The body is curved in all the right places making it beautiful n comfortable to play. The neck of the guitar really surprised me, it's smooth as can be making sliding and chord progressions a breeze, it has a big sound with it's double humbuckers and spot on tone n volume controls n 3 way pickup switch paired with the PYLE amp that came with it. I can play the blues, switch moods, look at the head of my guitar and tune in the fly with the clip in tuner which was also included and play metal, rock, gospel, country, whatever I want in seconds with putting my guitar down. The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars is because It was supposed to be black with an awesome grey design n it was delivered just plain black. Thank you ... show more
