Well I have to say Pyle is more than disappointing in many ways. The 1st amp/receiver I got did not work, no sound would come out at all. Amazon warranted it and sent a 2nd one. That one worked for about a month and a half. Just long enough to put it out of Amazon's warranty period. So I had to contact Pyle's customer support. I sent an email telling them that the unit was shorted internally. All it would do is Humm and buzz the speakers. I had already checked all the speaker wiring and everything was fine. Pyle came back and said (after a 2 week wait) that they couldn't tell if I bought a new or used unit. So I sent a screen shot of the receipt and a screen shot of the item description. Evidently they Can't Understand Normal Thinking and they again sent another email (after another 2 week wait) and said that they still didn't know if I bought a new unit or used. At that point I called Amazon's customer service and explained that Pyle was giving me the run around. After some conversation with a customer service manager and the associate I was speaking with, they came back and said they were giving me a complete refund and I did not need to return the shorted unit. As soon as I got the refund I promptly ordered a Sony amplifier/receiver and I'm very happy with it. It also sounds way better than the Pyle did. As far as the Pyle unit goes. It was disappointing for a 1000 watt amp it really didn't get that loud. It also had quite a bit of distortion when you turned it up. I have very good old school speakers and with the Sony they sound crisp and clear without any distortion at high levels. I had bought the Pyle unit to replace my old Sony amp/receiver. If I had just gone for the Sony in the first place I would have saved myself a lot of headaches and time. My suggestion to anyone reading this is to spend a few extra bucks and get a better amp/receiver that is not a Pyle. If you do buy this product then prepare for headaches, frustration and disappointment. Good luck. ... show more

Bought for a basement gym stereo set up, works exactly as it should! My only complaint would be when using the Bluetooth feature I can hear the cooling fan when the song gets quiet

    • Bang for your buck
I was worried about replacing my dinosaur of a kenwood and not paying with my first born, weighing half of what the trusty old kenwood did I was a bit worried, and yes the blue light is very bright. After some tuning playing around I can't believe the adjustability you have from the awesome remote control, my 20 year old subs and surround speakers have never sounded so good and my music can be heard from the alley to the street. My family has played it loud for long periods of time with no issues, bt is easy to use but will connect to whoever used it last and is in proximity, so often I come home and need to tell my 16 year old to turn off his bluetooth so I can connect my phone. I bought this to replace an older system. Arrived quickly but had an address sticker inside the box that wasn’t mine. So possibly a resold unit as new?? Plugged everything in and the basics work with some exceptions: FM reception is horrible. I live outside of Atlanta and I could get two channels on FM. I even built a new antenna from scratch using my old military knowledge. Worked better but was seriously not sensitive enough. I just received another non Pyle system and I pick up channels I didn’t know existed. Playing DVDs and CDs was always hit or miss. I would load a DVD in my external player one night and the next night the same DVD or CD didn’t work?? Bluetooth was ok but the range wasn’t enough to work across my pool. Had to leave my phone close which is fine but changing the volume and music was a PITA. It’s a good basic system but I finally pulled it and replaced it after a party where I couldn’t get a movie to play. My new system (Yamaha) works great, great FM reception, almost plug and play, great sound, all my DVDs and CDs work flawlessly, more options than I need - happy. ... show more

I purchased this unit to replace an aging one without modern in/outputs. Been using it quite a bit in a home theater set up. 3 hdmi inputs 1 out to projector. (2) 1/4” mic inputs if your a singer, great for karaoke. Reverb and delay controls. I’m running a 5:1 surround set up and it has plenty of volume. DO NOT BUY THIS AMPLIFIER! Before 1 year warranty was up, the left channel developed a loud buzzing sound which did not go away. Spent 1 month with Pyle to get return authorization and they wanted me to pay all shipping charges which were $160, I paid $195 for amplifier, did not send back. Contacted Amazon and after 1.5 hours and 10 Representatives said they could not help me. Very dissatisfied with Pyle and Amazon. Pyle, the name, should ring a bell about their products. ... show more

If anyone listened to some reviews about this AVR on You Tube it would be the last AVR you would ever purchase. I just purchased this item there is no thumping noises as explained in the review in fact I recommend it to be used in any moderate size room.
