This product is a great concept, and it likely does work for many situations. My cat spent her first year outdoor as a stray and has always been a challenge to keep inside compared to other cats I’ve had. But we moved to a new house and wanted to give this a try. My husband set it up easily. My cat seriously studied this setup and conducted a series of tests with me observing. She was hesitant to stand on the unsteady netting - she attempted then abandoned it. Ultimately she managed to find a space on a corner where she was able to shape shift to a size of a worm and wiggle between netting and fence. I feel like we’d have to invest more $$ to modify fence and/or better secure all bottom parts of netting, and given this was already $300 I didn’t want to spend even more (on top of the other catios). We also wanted to try it out on part of our fencing but would have had to buy at least 4 more kits to do whole yard. I also didn’t love the way it looked. In fairness to company, website suggests calling and they’ll guide you through planning - I’d suggest doing that (I was just nervous I’d end up agreeing to a project costing thousands).

We had to cover every inch of fence but this works great. The cat is a sneaky one and she found every spot we didn’t cover, but once covered it kept her in. Super sturdy lasting though several strong storms. . We planted a passion vine that has covered the visible parts of the netting and it looks beautiful in the summer. Highly recommend.

We installed PURR…FECT Fence Conversion System on our existing fence as we have adopted a 3 year old cat and he was prone to jump the fence gates in areas that we could not see unless we were up and looking down the side of the house. Now that we have this system installed on both sides up to the point where we can see if he tries to jump another section of fence. So far, he has been a great kitty and has stayed in the yard. Our fear was George, our cat, would get out, see another cat and try to run after them and get into the road and get hit - so we feel more comfortable letting him in the back yard.

We bought the in ground Pet Safe system but it was too tricky to set up and our cat was too small. We also bought the Pet Safe indoor barrier system but again our cat was too small. We also tried a DIY system by drilling in things into fence but it was a temporary solution. Thankfully found this, which has worked wonders! Our cat did try to escape as you can see in one of the pictures but after a single attempt stopped! Since then we’ve also added a flowering wine to make it more aesthetically pleasing, which has taken to the fence. The instillation was pretty straight forward but depending on the size of your fence you may need to purchase more parts.

This only came with six mounts for 50 feet - to install properly it takes all six mounts to do one outward swinging gate, so we had to improvise. I was expecting a higher quality netting - this is cheap plastic and looks janky when installed. The netting buckles and doesn’t hang well. It works to keep the kitties in at least.

Excellent product but VERY expensive considering the materials used. The vendor should offer better volume discounts. It took almost $1200 to cover our entire patio for our cats.
