It’s a real, solid 2-lb hammer with a stainless steel head and a sturdy wooden handle. It has the proper weight and balance you’d expect, and it actually works. I’ve used it for basic DIY tasks and plan to keep it with our camping gear because the compact head makes it easy to pack, which is great for driving tent stakes and other small jobs we always forget a hammer for. The fist design is obviously the fun part, but the build quality surprised me. It feels durable, not gimmicky, and the handle is comfortable to use. This my friends is a quality Hammer, that is shaped like a fist. Need I say more? In all seriousness I have used this with some force a few times and it is always fun to pull out and show people. I'd recommend even if just as a fun show piece.
