When I die cover me in this head to toe. This moisturizer is not for everyone, I will admit. But for me it did absolute wonders. I have sensitive oily skin that gets red easily, but this moisturizer changes the whole game. 1. Instead of getting oily, the moisturizer acts as a barrier and it gets more like a slightly sticky top layer that looks clean & shiny. 2. It smells so clean, like oats and milk. Not like chemicals! 3. My face shines all day. 4. My redness decreases much faster. 5. It’s much larger than I thought it’d be! I was originally using the Cerave cream for combo skin, but it just wasn’t doing anything for me. My skin stayed oily, broke out, and the cream pilled in grey little rice grains. New moisturizer? Pilling gone, less oily, skin normal. It will not reduce acne by any means but it actually comes at a normal rate now!

My daily first step moisturizer
Color: Oat
This helps make my skin feel more plump and hydrated, but can’t be used on its own imo. I layer it with a more occlusive moisturizer (I use/recommend it with the corsrx skin barrier (+ vanicream moisturizing cream to really seal everything in on days my skin barrier is weaker or it’s dry outside). It’s not oily if used correctly. I’ve noticed if I haven’t put enough moisturizer on top, my skin dries out and produces more oil. I appreciate the price when it’s on sale. It’s very lightweight, doesn’t pill, never irritates my skin or causes acne. I would recommend it in place of any serums for more lasting hydration. Also, less is always more for skincare! Don’t fall for the marketing that says you need a 8+ step routine. That just adds in more potential to break out and gets so expensive. You only need a basic face wash + 1 OR 2 moisturizers + an active if necessary (like retinol for acne or anti-aging) + sunscreen. If you use 2 moisturizers, 1 should be hydrating (this product is hydrating) and 1 should be more occlusive to lock in that hydration and to protect your skin’s barrier.

Dewy finish?

I just used this for the first time today and wanted to share my first impressions, my skin type is very very oily and although I don’t struggle with acne in the same way I did when I was younger I’m prone to clogged pores/congestion still. My skin is also a little sensitive. Since realizing I needed to be using a gel moisturizer and that the cerave lotion was to heavy for me I’ve been searching for a moisturizer that’s lightweight, doesn’t make me more oily, and preferably something with a more matte finish since I personally don’t like shine on my face. So far I’ve tried the Byoma gel cream, the roundlab birch juice gel cream, and this one. (I’ve also tried the matte la Roche posay one.) for starters, I noticed some people online complaining about this having an odd smell or smelling like alcohol which made me a bit nervous, but when I smelled it in the bottle and on the back of my hand it had no scent to me and when I applied it to my face it just had a very pleasant mild oat like scent. I immediately noticed that the texture was very much a watery gel like texture and spread really easily. I’m not a fan of when some gel moisturizers have a silicone like feel or feel almost like a primer so I liked this a lot. It feels very hydrating when first applying and it immediately starts to sink in and feels very lightweight and matte to the touch. I noticed areas on my face that were a little bit red (like post acne marks) calmed down some and look less noticeable. I also oddly noticed that after first applying it was so lightweight that even for my very oily skin I was worried it wasn’t hydrating enough but after waiting a bit I noticed that my skin felt more normal and balanced. (Not super oily and not dry and tight.) I can definitely see why this one is recommend so much for oily skin. I definitely would not recommend it to someone with dry skin or even combination unless you plan to maybe layer it with other hydrating products or a thicker moisturizer. I can’t say anything to much about the results yet since I’ve only used it once, but first impressions overall are pretty positive. Compared to the other moisturizers I listed i like how this one feels the best. However, the one big negative to me is the finish. Although it’s very lightweight, and it feels matte to the touch it does give you a bit of a glow or mild glass like effect. I can’t stand any shine at all, so unfortunately even if it works great for my skin I don’t love looking dewy and the shine around my t zone bothers me a lot. If you can’t stand any shine I would pass on this one and try to find something more matte looking. Everything else though is good and it seems like a really great simple lightweight moisturizer for oily or sensitive skin.

Finally found the perfect moisturizer for my combination skin!

I've been trying several moisturizers to find one that works well for my combination skin, and this one has honestly been my favorite so far. It absorbs nicely without feeling heavy or greasy, but still leaves my skin feeling deeply hydrated. My face feels incredibly soft after applying it, looks healthy and glowy (not oily), and has become noticeably smoother. It layers well under sunscreen during the day and is also great as my nighttime moisturizer. I like it so much that I already ordered a second tube just so I wouldn't run out. A little goes a long way, and it has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. If you have combination skin and are looking for a moisturizer that strengthens your skin barrier without feeling too rich, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Great Product for After-Antibiotic Acne

Used this during an antibiotic acne break out, and it helped so much!!! I have incredibly sensitive skin and I’ve been using this for weeks now with no problems. It’s lightweight, and it’s not sticky or greasy. My skin is looking much better after a few weeks.

Great but not for me…

Great moisturizer, i bought this so i could test it out on my dry skin. Loved the idea of applying a non-comedogenic product to my skin BUT honestly it didn’t do much for hydration. My skin wanted something more creamier and hydrating. It has a weird scent like a sweet note, it kinda throws me off because it smells like perfume. It also gave me white pimples around my forehead which the product says it’s doesn’t have comedogenic ingredients. I will be returning this item.
