  • Cats are so magical they pee crystalsđŸ˜č
Flavor Name: Chicken & Rice Size: 3.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
This food does the trick to support the urinary health of my cat Obie. Because he is such a magical cat, that he pees crystals, and occasionally has blockages for that reasonđŸ˜© This food works and has prevented the hassle of having to go to the Vet to get a prescription for a cat food that costs twice the price! We do incorporate water with the this at each meal for both cats as well as a little bit of canned food. We’ve now added an extra high quality food as well to help with their skin, coat, and pooping-as his cat food seems to cause a little bit of constipation or occasional issues with pooping. ... show more

  • PLEASE READ THIS FOR YOU WILL NEED THIS KNOWLEDGE: MIRALAX is also needed for her
Flavor Name: Chicken & Rice Size: 7 Pound (Pack of 1)
My cat wife is so constipated that I also have to give her a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLAX mixed in with a little of wet cat food, and she is about 16 pounds which is why it has to be a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLax that I buy at the grocery store under the instructions of my professional Veterinarian, and the rhythm is that on the day of a good bowel movement I pass up giving her the MiraLAX, and on the very next day I give a 1/2 of a teaspoon of MiraLAX each day until another good and again and on that day I pass up the treatment only to follow the next days with the MiraLAX until the day of a good bowel movement and again I pass up the MiraLAX only on that day; however, it does seem to work better of a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the morning and a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the evening, but that means that I need more wet cat food; therefore, I just do 1/2 of a teaspoon once with a little of wet cat food, and the rest of the time she gets this dry cat food mixed in with the dry cat food for Urinary problems that occurred with her constipation that also had her throwing up all the time as well, and when I stay on the rhythm of the MiraLAX all of the problems disappeared meaning that there is no constipation and no urinary problems and no throwing up all of the time. I wish that I was wealthy enough to create a dry cat food with MiraLAX mixed in and it makes me wonder why someone like Purina has not already done this because it would solve so many problems for cat lovers and their overall health where good bowel movements are definitely required. ... show more

  • Seems to work
Flavor Name: Chicken & Rice Size: 7 Pound (Pack of 1)
I switched from a prescription diet during the pandemic bc of supply issues. 2 years later and no issues. So far, so good. Fingers crossed! My cat does not like it as much as previous food, not sure if it’s taste or texture.

  • Cat food
Flavor Name: Chicken & Rice Size: 7 Pound (Pack of 1)
I decided to try this ProPlan cat food for my cat's health issues. I started providing a small amount of food into the cat’s current ProPlan food, which led to an adverse reaction that resulted in diarrhea for several days. Recommend tiny portions, such as a treat size, at first to determine a cat’s tolerance. ... show more

  • Pro Plan has been excellent cat food for our "big girl"
Flavor Name: Chicken & Rice Size: 7 Pound (Pack of 1)
Due to our cat having had 2 urinary tract infections within 6 months, and inability to obtain a urine sample at the follow up appt. to the second infection, it was recommended that our cat switch from the senior, indoor, turkey and rice formula to an adult urinary tract formula. We told the vet that we’d been using Pro Plan and she confirmed that this is a good cat food. We added this new formula to her prior Pro Plan food in increasing amounts for about two weeks. Our 19 lb. cat (not fat, just a big girl) had no problem switching Pro Plan formulas, so we are pleased. For the second vet's appt. we had brought our cat in because of lack of bowel movement for 2 days. The vet (who could feel multiple little round feces) said that a cat with a urinary tract infection will often be uncomfortable or in pain when trying to pass feces and thus will not have the bowel movement. She recommended using a urinary tract food. As without the urine sample, it couldn't be determined whether or not her infection had been cured, the vet gave her a 2nd long lasting antibiotic injection, in addition to stool softener medication. Our only concern is that the Pro Plan urinary tract formula doesn’t address hair balls. Since the repeat of the urinary tract infection is the greater concern, we decided to put her on and keep her on the Urinary Tract formula. Later my husband read on line that some vets recommend adding soft food/food with liquid to the diet to help reduce constipation, so we decided to try this also. We supplemented her dry food with a soft dinner with gravy, but giving the "meal" to her in 1/4 portions for 4 days of treats. As she'll lick the gravy but refuse to eat the soft chunks, we puree one meal and gravy, give her 1/4 of it, and refrigerate the rest. We microwave the other portions before serving them, as the warmth is more appetizing and should help to relax muscles for easier passing of feces. She gobbles her “treat” up, even sitting by her dry cat food during the day, hoping to get more of the pureed stuff (which has duck in it), although she also likes the Pro Plan. Since the medicine, and diet change, our cat has been fine. We’ve been very satisfied with the Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract formula cat food and previously had been quite pleased with the Pro Plan turkey and rice indoor formula for adult cats. Prior to using the Pro Plan we had used another brand that vets recommend and sell. I must say that our cat did (and does) much better on the Pro Plan than she did on that other name brand cat food. My only regret is not having switched to Pro Plan sooner. ... show more
