My Chihuahua mix is getting on in years, and some of the dry foods I have tried either seem to be difficult for her to eat (hard to chew), or she just doesn't like the taste and will only eat it reluctantly. I was pleasantly surprised at how much seems to like the Pro Plan. She is back to doing her pre-dinner ritual of flinging pieces out of the bowl with her mouth and "stalking and pouncing" on them just like she did when she was younger. Both of our small dogs, a morkie and a shihtzu, do very well on this food. Our son is a Vet and he says this is one of the top dog foods on the market. He also switched his animals from Science Diet to this.

All dogs taste can be different but all 5 of my dogs love dogs like the purina pro plan dog food. You can tell by the way the act that it is good for then. I buy 3 kinds: small breed adult, large breed puppy and puppy food. One time we ran out of the puppy food for 5.5lb puppy. I got him some expensive well known brand but he vomited it up. My dog LOVES this food and has eaten this particular flavor or other Pro Plan flavors since weaning or more specifically for the last 10 years and 5 months. She is fit and healthy and more importantly can’t wait for her feedings! Just wish it wasn’t so expensive, but good food = a healthier dog!

Our vet recommended pro plan for our special needs dog. I can’t speak to flavor but she likes it. The small bites make it easy for her to eat.
