I started my 15 year old cat on this food a few months ago. He's improved energy wise, and his tummy troubles seem to have subsided. He has maintained a healthy weight always, but his coat has definitely improved. Great value.

This product is great. I have 2 17 year old cats. The cats eat too fast so I always put a single layer in each of the cat bowls. I’ve tried several sensitive stomach varieties with different results. For the past 2 years, they’ve been eating IAMs Senior. They vomited occasionally but then it changed to many times a week. Since I switched, neither has vomited. They like the flavor. Most of my four senior cats tolerate this formula well--no throwing up. It's a little pricey in my opinion considering the ingredients). As to flavor, I've tried both the chicken and the salmon and there was no clear winner taste-wise. It just depends on what you kitties like--and they can never all agree on one flavor! And this formula doesn't use pea protein which for my cats (all over age 7) is a plus. They're carnivores, not herbivores....they all hate anything with pea protein in it no matter how far down the ingredient list it is! Like human kids not wanting to eat their veggies, my cats KNOW when pea protein in is their food and won't touch it. I will continue to buy as they haven't developed any allergies or weird problems with this food and they do eat it. ... show more

This dry food has 600 calories per cup.; I have not found one higher. This little gal does not eat a lot, and has no medical conditions. She was underweight, and what she eats has to count. She loves it, and is soooo picky. Our weight is slowly coming up. Will keep her on this 100%-

My sweet little Muffy was always a tiny cat, about 6.5 pounds. She got so finicky that she dropped over time to under 5 pounds and was obviously starving. I tried everything including the expensive food from the vet. She just had no interest in any kind of food. She became weaker and weaker and was obviously going to die. Then I discovered this food and read the testimonials. With little hope I bought a small bag and little Muffy just went nuts over it. No vomiting, and she put weight back on. I don’t know about your cat but it surely was the answer for Muffin. Our two outdoor neighborhood cats love it too. December 2023 My sweet little Muffy died anyway of old age. But at least she had food that she liked to eat. Just one complaint: This food is waaaayy overpriced, to the point of being obscene! Purina should be ashamed of themselves! ... show more
