We have 4 dogs, all 20-35 lbs and were loyal to another brand for years. We noticed a formula change was causing issues, so I tried this one and have stuck with it. Pros: My dogs LOVE it. Even my picky senior gal. There are freeze-dried bits of meat that are the first to disappear in the bowl. I was having issues getting them to be interested in their food before, and that's definitely less of an issue now. Cons: This is the first time I have seen a dog try to resource-guard an entire bag of dog food, but that's what our aussie did. These have to be put up straightaway after coming in. I feed my dogs separately so it's not an issue at dinner time. I have also noticed that my dogs have softer stools, which is unusual since they've been eating this for months. We're trying sensitive stomach next to see if that helps at all. ... show more

Outside of the price point, which is higher than I would like but still on par with the quality, this is a great food product for my dog. He wont eat any other kind if given the choice, and we have. His old food brand was placed next to this one and he went to this immediately, treating it like it was a treat instead of just food. It does not look appetizing to me, but he loves it. His old brand has more color, but this is all brown....the same color brown.... I have a larger dog, and he eats 2 bowls of food per day (small bowls, but hey). If I let him, he would eat way too much of this. Currently he is still being weaned over to this food, because he has a sensitive stomach and I do not want to have poo or vomit all over the house. And this did happen...when my kids gave him two ADDITIONAL bowls of the new food. He couldn't hold it....but he tried....not his fault. Just too much of a change, so suddenly...and extra. As is he chooses to go hungry most days rather than eat the older brand, but we need to both use it and be sure he doesn't get sick with suddenly having only the new one, but he does eat the old brand when he has to. We decided to switch b/c of his shedding. No, we do not expect food to solve it, but he did not shed when we got him and now he does constantly. His coat is very dry, and he had dandruff. So, after much research, we learned that his diet can contribute. already we have seen a great improvement on his coat, although he still sheds a ton. I expect that this will make him healthier as a whole too. Note: the old brand is one you get from walmart in the bulk section......costing about $20. So this is almost double the cost for similar amount, but with how happy and energetic he has become this is worth it! ... show more

I’ve been feeding Purina Pro Plan Complete Essentials Shredded Blend to my labs and Goldendoodle for years, and it’s been consistently great. My vet recommended it over other brands, and I’ve stuck with it ever since. The dogs like the mix of kibble and shredded pieces, and their coats and energy levels show the difference. It does feel a little pricey, but compared to other premium foods it’s reasonable — and worth the peace of mind knowing they’re getting quality nutrition. What you may care about: *. Usps just drops in in driveway and refused to help my 71 year old disabled mother why I was at work because it decided to arrive a day early. Please only ship ups only or FedEx because they are so helpful unlike usps. The food is so good for dogs creating healthy furry babies. They just shine because of this food and they absolutely love the chicken flavor. It's so worth the extra price. It's arrived by FedEx every time except today. I pray you read this and I will put in delivery instructions to bring to door on every other order I make. Please abandon usps they don't care at all. Once again you shipped usps and they just throw it on ground and walk away. I absolutely hate usps because they are no help at all, delivery to wrong address and worst of all don't care. I love this brand of food but I insist you drop usps and ship ups or FedEx because they are so helpful and care about the customer. This is the best dog food money can buy and it creates really healthy plump dogs. My dogs always eat every last piece and stare at me hours later until I give them more hint the plump dogs. I won't buy a different brand of dog food because they don't eat it iv tried many different brands with this being there go to food. Please help your customers by shipping with FedEx or ups so my 71 year old mother don't have to kill herself dragging this food in while I'm at work. Please 🙏 Please 🙏 use a different carrier.
