My cat likes this food a lot and it seems to keep him very healthy--definitely vet-approved However, I recently realized that I've been feeding him almost twice as much as recommended! It's denser than Purina One, which I also use, so the portion sizes are smaller. My cat has put on a bit more weight and I think this might be why. Would highly recommend weighing to measure a standard portion initially according to the provided measurements. I have best results when I split it into morning and evening half-size portions. Don't worry about it looking small: before I noticed, my cat would never finish his meals, and now he completes them happily but does not come to me meowing for more food or have a lower energy level. I normally buy the Purina One kibble but I only got this cause a stray cat and kitten decided to live on my house and they looked very unhealthy compared to my actual cat. It is very noticeable after a week of eating it the strays have gotten softer hair and more energy :) Although my actual cat has not changed that much from changing food :( It's very pricey so I can't recommend replacing Purina One for this when it does very little difference to my cats. Maybe once every couple of months to surprise them. Its is very good food but even I don't always eat high quality meals hahah. ... show more

I just switched my cat from Purina pro plan kitten kibble to this adult kibble now that she is a year and a half and it was a smooth and easy transition. She loves it! both my cat and my dog are on Purina pro plan and neither have had any issues the years they’ve been on it :)
