Directions: Using a standard 8 oz/250 ml measuring cup which contains approximately 108 g of Pro Plan. We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily. MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Took our dog to Vet this summer who said she was a bit overweight. I also told him I had been feeding our dog a Grain Free Organic dog food. He said Grain Free isn't good as it can cause heart issues as they get a little older. He said he ONLY feeds his 3 dogs Purina Pro Plan - didn't matter what flavor - just what you dog likes. Our dog likes it fine but she is so picky, I have to something like the Purina pouches with liquid in them for her to eat. I add cooked rice sometimes and she likes (not a lot) and sometimes had some cooked chicken. She has lost about 4 lbs and is healthy so the food is working. It's very expensive which is my only issue. Over $80 for 35 lb bag.......whew! ... show more
