This has extended my dog’s life. She has protein losing enteropathy and lymphosarcoma. When we got the first diagnosis she was down from 7.5 to 5 pounds. She wouldnt eat because she had a mass in her intestines. Her albumin was 1. They removed the mass and started her on this food. Then we got the lymphosarcoma diagnosis. Since November, we’ve been told she has 2 weeks to a few months left. On February 14, her weight was 6.82 pounds and albumin was 2.6. We know we don’t have a lot of time left, but I really feel as if this food is one of the reasons she is doing so much better. She loves the food and obviously tolerates it well.     • Just what the doctor ordered.
My vet recommended this for my dog that has allergies. It so convenient to get from amazon but I’m confused about how I was able to get the first bag and then when I went to reorder, they couldn’t fulfill the order without talking to my vet.

My 2 year old Boston Terrier started having issues with normal food and after trying multiple brands of food, this is by far the best. He loves it and it has completely reset his stomach issues. For a year, he was not able to eat ANYTHING without getting sick. This happened out of nowhere and after multiple vet trips, it still went undiagnosed. Finally our vet recommended this food and he has been 100% ever since. He is now able to eat other things with no issue (he loves green pepper and carrots). He no longer has issues. I have a dog who is allergic to just about everything. It is so frustrating trying to find a food that doesn't have anything in it that he can't have, there wasn't a single food at pet smart he could eat. When our senior dog was recently having health issues and was diagnosed with pancreatitis, our vet put her on this food. It has VERY low hydrolyzed protein and did the trick! HOWEVER, this price is almost twice as much as the vet's. Not to mention the high cost of shipping! If you can get at your vet (Pet stores do NOT carry it) do it. 5 stars for product, 3 stars for high price= 4 stars ... show more

Dogs seemed to like it, when we first fed it to them. Shibas are notoriously picky about their food. We were trying to pinpoint what our dogs were allergic to, by eliminating all animal protein.

My pug gets severe skin rashes unless he eats this. This is a great product for sensitive dogs. Our dog is far less itchy and miserable now thanks to change in diet. It's ridiculous we have to buy this from merchants on Amazon. Merchants are slow to ship. Specialty pet food companies need to go direct with Amazon. Much easier to buy from Amazon than to make the trip to an out-of-the-way specialty shop that may or may not be in stock. ... show more
