I normally don't write reviews, but this item really made me want to sit down and share with people who also suffer from the same problem I did. I have an elderly cat around 16-18 years old who suffers from a very low level of appetite. We've taken them to the vet, and he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and the vet said that it could also make a cat not want to eat. The amount of stress I've been through trying to get him to eat and figuring out what he wants killed me a lot of the time. There'd be multiple days in a row where he'd eat close to nothing, and it would just kill me watching him not knowing if he was suffering or not. I recently bought the product and have been using it for the past few days now. And all I can say is he really feels like he wants to eat again. He's been eating near or at his recommended level of calories and looking much more enthusiastic and livelier. I can't say how long this will last but I hope. indefinitely. The price may feel steep which is why I'm giving it a 4/5 but if it means giving more incentive for my cat to want to eat again then I really don't care about 1 dollar or 5 dollars a packet. My guy was near death, 4 days with a hairball blockage. I would carry him to his litter box but he would not go. I tried the liquid hairball stuff, it would work but he remained lifeless at 8 years old. I stopped the hairball treatment the vet gave me and the condition would just come back. Then I tried this. The next day it was like a miracle. He was better, going well on his own. Then after 3 days, he was playing, running around like he was a kitten. Between this probiotic and prayers, he made a better than before recovery. I just sprinkle it on his blue buffalo weight control (a super high fiber food) and he loves the taste which is pretty unique for his finicky belly. Try this folks, it works! I use Fortiflora because it is recommended by vets, it has a flavor my cats love. I have had cats with health issues that need to eat, but sometimes won't, and this helps because of the flavor. I like knowing they are getting probiotics, but I also love that it will entice my cats to eat. It is pricey in my opinion. I actually prefer Jackson Galaxy Cat Probiotics and Digestive Enzymes | Best Probiotic Powder for Cat Diarrhea, Vomiting Relief, Upset Stomach & Pet Allergies | Feline, but for some unknown reason, this product is no longer available, and this is not new. It becomes unavailable, then no idea if it comes back, then it does. This time, though, it has been a while, so not sure if it will come back. Jackson Galaxy's product comes in a tub that you can scoop. Fortiflora comes in a packet. I prefer the ease of the scoop, but also, not sure if Jackson's is vet recommended. And, watching the way my cats eat, I feel like they actually like the flavor of Jacksons better than Fortiflora. But, they like both and Jackson's is not available. Bottom line, this is a great product and even though its on the pricey side (so is Jackson Galaxy's) I like it and will continue to buy it. ... show more

One of our male cats (Francis) use to vomit occasionally after eating. We have been feeding this probiotic mixed with cat gravy every morning for at least a year now. Our cat loves it and licks the bowl clean. I can’t remember the last time I had to clean up cat vomit. Happy tummy ……happy cat! 😸
