My kitty absolutely loves the turkey. She got extremely sick on the whitefish though. She liked it but she got diarrhea so bad, it was pretty horrible uncontrollable through the house. I will never give her the white fish again. But I will introduce the turkey back to her because she loves it. And she didn’t seem to have a problem with it. Nice portion size for a kitten. Seems like a very good product. Came highly recommended by other cat owners that I know. I will donate the white fish to the shelter, hopefully it’s not too rich for other cats there. ... show more

My senior kidney cat lost interest in eating and losing weight. It's been a while this way and I honestly don't hope that he would gain dramatically from any foods or supplements. What I am hoping it that he won't lose any more. He can still ran fast and jump to a certain height, and my vet is OK that I wouldn't force him eat any of those kidney formulas. He already lost much interest in his favorite foods and I cannot get him suffer more by forcing him the foods he dislikes. These kitten foods have more fat in them and even with the small amount he eats it probably help him with his weight maintenance. I recently found that he likes Catsip milk. Since this discovery his meal time is much better. He no longer comes to his food bowls, so I bring his food to wherever he is and show him a small bowl of milk for later. I know the kitten food has about 90 cal per can. He eats about 1/3 of the can ( 2 oz) in the morning, then gets 2 oz of milk as a reward. That is 30 cal of food and another 20 cal of milk to start his day. He also gets calorie booster gel each day (another 20) , and end his day with the same morning menu, consuming about 120 cal a day. before the kitten food and milk, he was only consuming 80-90 cal a day, so it is a improvement. For his 7 LB weight he needs 140 a day, so I am hoping he will continue to eat this kitten food and increase his appetite to finish a whole can a day some day. He likes it when I microwave a little bit. It stinks, but that's the smell cats love. ... show more

There are two varieties of kitten food in this set, and that's pretty cool. It costs less than single variety packs of 24. The kitten food is not particularly stinky like the whitefish variety, which is a major plus! I foster kittens for a local shelter and I always swear by Fancy Feast once they are weaned, as does the shelter I get my kittens from. There are more expensive varieties but this fills those little raptor's tummies and lets me do freelance work for a while unencumbered by climbing kittens. For weaning purposes to slurry though, I splurge and get Royal Canin Mother Babycat (aka Babycrack) because of its smooth consistency and great taste. But it costs soooo much more. ... show more

I'm really surprised to see so many people saying that their cats like the turkey. Our cat that passed away a month ago hated fancy feast turkey. It was the only flavor that she completely turned her nose up at. Our older cat who pretty much will you anything also doesn't like it, and our new kittens- who are constantly starving to death ( I swear if you'd watch them eat you would think we didn't feed them as frequently as we do. It would seem like we must be starving them. They're very enthusiastic eaters.) However, we gave them the turkey and they turned their noses up and went ate their kibble. Which is just bizarre. I don't know what it is about the turkey. None of our cats will even touch it. They love everything else though! ... show more

Confused if I ordered grain free kitten food as the description says. I thought it was regular kitten food. Do not see grain free on this carton that was delivered. Pretty much my local stores don't stock enough kitten food and I go through a lot of it with more than one kitten, so I purchase from amazon. I wish kitten size was larger cans, as you go through a lot of food with kittens and these 'gourmet' size cans are cute but not practical, but that's a manuf. complain, okay, Purina? Otherwise, prices can be all over the place with kitten food, depending on the store, and amazon is competitive. ... show more

I’ve never eaten this product. On behalf of my cat and his verbal and non-verbal cues, he appreciates the texture of the pate (wouldn’t touch the shredded product). Their ingredient makeup is different so I assume the texture and flavor are better to cats’ palates. He may just hate veggies. Maybe he will grow out of that. Your guess is as good as mine. Portions are okay, but my cat would prefer a larger format. In order to enjoy this format of your kitty this is enough to sustain them while they remain open to dry food as well. ... show more
