Purina Alpo Tbonz Filet Mignon Flavor Dog Treats is a tremendously delicious treat for your dog. This treat can be used for numerous things such as obedience training, housebreaking, and as a tasty snack. I have a Shih Tzu that treasures this treat as if it was a feast. He will start begging by standing on his hind legs and putting his two front paws together to make an upwards to downwards motion until he gets one. No other treat has caught his attention such as this one. The treats are soft in nature; which is perfect for my dog because I don't want anything too tough or harsh on his teeth. The treats come in a plastic airtight jar to seal in freshness and flavor. If you expose the treats to air, they will harden up-they will also lose texture, flavor, and odor. I don't recommend doing this because my Shih Tzu who normally goes crazy for the food doesn't want anything to do with it. He will spit it out and kick it away; he does not appreciate the staleness. The treats are made in the United States and have undergone a comprehensive overview to provide excellent quality food. Unlike many other foreign countries such as China that put harsh chemicals and ingredients in their pet food and treats. In conclusion, these treats are an excellent selection for any type of dog -small, medium or big. In addition, the container has approximately around 100 treats; which will last for months. For smaller breed dogs, I recommend cutting up the treat in half, thirds, or fourths. Otherwise, the treat seems to be too big for smaller breeds to intake. You will also get more out of your buck. If you do decide to use these treats for any kind of training then I would recommend to cut the treats up. ... show more

So Mommy Approved! Both of my dogs LOVE these. When my little guy hears the top bring 6 unscrewed, he comes RUNNING (it's the only time he runs!). Never had a problem with intestinal issues. Both of my dogs have health issues & they've never been exacerbated by these. I cut up one for my Shorkie to turn it into 4 little treats for him, and give my big guy 2-3 a day. Little guy thinks he's special. I put his in the cup holder in my recliner or in the treat compartments in his puzzle game. He loves either. Big guy is blind and diabetic, so he just gets them out of my hand, but they're very useful to guide him when he gets turned around. They smell so yummy that my son was tempted to try one. I didn't have enough cash on me to pay him if he did tho & man-points didn't work for him. ... show more

This brand is by far her favourite. She knows the sound of the treats shaking in the container, the way they smell (she refuses knock offs). I would like to wean her because there's sugar in it but they don't seem to be causing her any harm and her vet says she's okay. As her human, they don't smell as funky as other dog treats so that's a plus for me lol. Wish they sold the porterhouse ones in jars as well. ... show more

We are repeat buyers of this product that is always available at a decent price on Amazon. We have a large rescue dog that is believed to be a Rhodesian ridgeback weighing about 50 pounds. Many of the “dog lover” treat products are garbage on the market, but this treat seems to be a great product for the money, plus our dog loves them. We have a duty to help him maintain a decent weight, as our vet has insisted he be kept around 50 pounds for his breed. We don’t feed him treats hand over fist, but believe our dog Maxx deserves a treat for good behavior and this one he loves does the trick without putting on lots of extra pounds. We just received this treat from Amazon and will continue especially this one as long as they are available and the right product to use. We know some dogs can be a little fussy about what people offer, but believe most dogs would enjoy this product based on our experience. ... show more

I work as a residential concierge and part-time leasing agent in a luxury building. There are all types of dogs living in the building. The dogs go absolutely crazy for these treats. I am their favorite concierge because I bring these in to give to them. So one dog arrived 2 months ago. She was super shy and didn't like to be petted. One day I bring these treats and now she will run from her leash to come behind the front desk and get her treats and her pets from me. So thank you for making them so yummy for dogs. ... show more

First and foremost let me just say that my dog (yellow lab) really enjoys these "Good boy" treats. We don't give him one everyday and as he is a lab they are not very big to him (they are about the size of ... maybe six quarters stacked on top of each other ... a tad smaller than that) so to him they are a very special treat. He really loves them. That said, as we don't give him a lot of them or give them often or daily (maybe four times a week), they last a long time for us and as such, they tend to dry out. I am not sure if the canister allows too much air in or what, but after about a month, we started noticing they are not as soft as when fresh. It is just the way we use them, so I am not taking "points" off the rating, but just know, if you use them daily you should be good, but if you don't they will dry out. My dog still loves them when they are dry however, soooo :-) ... show more
