Our living room window faces west and when we eat dinner watching TV, it's so bright in there that we squint while watching. We have tried every "blackout curtain" to no avail. They weren't really blackout thickness, so we continued to squint. Until now. We chose white curtains to match our room, thinking if the white was a true blackout curtain that every other dark color surely would follow. And we were right! These curtains are incredible! Not only do they keep out the sun, but they insulate the room, keeping out the heat of summer. And if they do that, I know they will insulate us during the winter. They are pretty, and match our trim color in the living room. I was afraid they would be heavy, but they aren't. They are moderate weight so they don't pull on the curtain rod. I am so happy!
