Since first trying out a down comforter a couple of years ago, they've very much become a favored option for bedding. My first comforter got damaged, and though I repaired it I also thought it might time to step up slightly in quality. This puredown comforter is a very nice little improvement. A little lighter than the first but equally as warm yet breathable. This is my first time with a down comforter. Let me say—I am definitely impressed. I was going to buy a more expensive one, but opted for this one with the prime day deal. I was worried I would be sacrificing quality, but I think this is just as good as the more expensive one would be. I fluffed it up in the dryer for 10 minutes, but I think I should have done a little longer. Like maybe 20 minutes. It has corner attachments for tying to your duvet cover which is really nice. I haven’t noticed many loose threads so far, and I’m happy to say there’s no feathers poking me yet. It fit in my queen sized duvet cover perfectly, and I ordered a king size of this comforter. I wanted the extra fluffy look. It does have a little crunch sound but I actually like it. The entire feel makes me feel like I’m in a luxury hotel room. It’s not too hot or not too cold. As Goldilocks would say, it’s just right. I’m a hot sleeper and this works just fine for me. It did have a smell though. It smelled like down pretty bad. Once I put it in the duvet cover it was less noticeable though. I’m going to maybe get some fabric spray just in case. I’m worried it will get less fluffy, but I might remove it from the duvet cover to fluff it up every now and then. I’ll update my review if I run into any issues. Update: The comforter has started to shed down feathers. For the price, I was expecting better quality. I don’t feel any feathers poking through yet, but I saw one outside my duvet cover. The fact that it got through even the duvet cover worries me a lot. Further Update: rating dropped to 3 stars. I have now found a total of about 5 feathers slipping through both the comforter itself and my duvet cover. This worries me a lot and is extremely disappointing. I’m scared to take the cover off to wash it as I might find a hole. ... show more

I am a cold sleeper and my husband is a warm sleeper. Meaning he puts off so much body heat he gets hot easier, while I am the one piling on 4 blankets, even during the summer. This comfort is amazing in providing both a cooling feeling, but with the heavy sensation of warmth that a nice winter blanket should provide.
