My first impression of this soap is the smell- it smells super great, reminds me of a tangerine. Not very loud smelling at all. I tried it on my face this morning and it’s very gentle and lathering on my skin. I have sensitive skin and I thought my face would start burning or itching after using but not at all. My skin is very smooth and clean after using. I normally spritz rose water on my face after washing and still I felt no burning or itching. I have slightly sensitive skin, so sometimes products work and don’t work for me. And sometimes products that have worked for me for forever stop working. But this soap has been amazing! My skin is clearing up and I always feel so clean after using it.

Didn’t see the changes I was hoping for while using this product. It smells good and has a basic lather but didn’t remove or lighten the spots as I expected it to.

    • This soap is really wonderful!!!
The size of the bars makes them perfect for travel or home use. The shape is so pleasant and easier to lather than a classic clunky bar of soap. The color is bright and lovely, making them nice for a gift or display if you wanted. The scent is FANTASTIC, a bit orangey but in a very nice, mellow, sweet and smooth way. By the looks of the bar, I guessed they would feel a bit drying or harsh but they are quite the opposite. Not overly moisturizing (great for summer when lotion-y bars of soap can feel a bit heavy and greasy) but definitely gentle and softened my skin. It seemed to help slowly brighten some bug bite scars and left my skin feeling smooth, healthy, clean and soft overall. LOVE this soap (and have tried other Kojic Acid soap brands. Will be buying these again once I use up bar number two! Love that they come in a set) ... show more

I waited a while to write a review of this Kojic Acid soap because I wanted to give it time to...work. I ordered the soap on TWO separate occasions within a span of six months. There are two bars in the box and both times I ordered, it was delivered on time, and well packaged. Why did I order this soap? I have Keratosis Pilaris and was hoping to find a soap that could help with exfoliation, as well as helping lighten hyperpigmented areas like between my thighs,and other scars or marks left behind from skin breakouts. Usually,I use glycolic peels and lactic acid to help with hyperpigmentation since I have more of a chocolate complexion. So I thought I would give this soap a try. I will begin with the positives. First,this soap is nicely packaged and smells like...ORANGES! The first month,I used the soap... not everyday but a few times a week. I LOVED IT! Between my thighs is lighter now and my skin would feel exfoliated after leaving it on for about five minutes,and then rinsing it off. THEN..... After a few months of using it, MY SKIN STARTED TO BREAK OUT. I'm talking about first,my skin would become EXTREMELY ITCHY. Then little bumps would pop up all over my body. I never had blemishes on my chest area. NOW I DO. I wanted this soap to help me get rid of blemishes! Not to cause them. Even as I type out this review,my skin is itching terribly! I used the soap this morning. My skin is always a bit dry afterwards,but then I use lotion or oil to moisturize. At this point,I am SURE it is this soap that is causing grief. Since I am dark skinned,I now have to repair the damage done from this soap. It's upsetting honestly. I know some people will STILL purchase this soap even though there are numerous reviews of it breaking peoples skin out.But just know,you've been warned about the adverse affects. I'm going to go back to using glycolic acid and lactic acid to help fade blemishes and exfoliate. I will never purchase this soap again. ... show more

I have some dark areas around my armpits and groin area that I want to lighten a bit. I've seen kojic acid soap recommended for this so I bought this to try it. I used it 2 to 3 times a week and would let it sit on the skin for several minutes for rinsing. I have noticed no improvement, unfortunately. I rated it low because for it's intended purpose, it didn't work. As far as soap in general goes, it does smell nice and gets you clean. But, so does cheap Ivory soap. ... show more
