Made well, fits as expected considering I got a lil larger size since my son recently sprouted and put on a little covid cabin fever weight but should fit true to size for most part I'd say. Soft material and sturdy stitching. Should last him a good while. Product itself deserves every bit of 5 stars but Amazon shipping and billing nonsense is why I gave only 4 stars. The pictures are the "Puma Black" variation. We got the "Black/Grey Stripe" shorts first and my son loved them, so we ordered the "Puma Black" ones in the same size, and they were obviously bigger--too big! Both versions are soft and not too thick, but not too thin. Both hang well, and both have pockets. The pockets are made of the same material as the shorts (not mesh like the pockets in some athletic shorts). We're returning the "Puma Black" version because they're too big, and also because the seam across the back of the leg looks really dumb. I can't say if the additional seams in the legs made them less comfortable, since my son didn't try them on. (P.S. There is no drawstring in either pair, although the bullet points in the item description said there were. A drawstring would've been unnecessary and annoying anyway. ... show more

I've purchased 4 pairs of these shorts for my son -- the fit and quality is fantastic. My son is 11 years old and heading into 6th grade; he is 4 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs 100 pounds: size "large" in these Puma shorts fit him perfectly. He used these shorts for basketball camp all summer, and they also wore well for flag football. Here's what I think any parent might especially appreciate: the shorts are not super long or too baggy; for my boy, they fit right at the knee ... maybe a little below. My son has what's called an "athletic build" -- not necessarily overweight, but he wears husky sizes in some brands so that shorts/pants will fit well in the thighs and around the butt. These Puma shorts were a great fit for him in size LARGE: roomy, but not falling off his waist or hanging too long. And he loves the pockets! ... show more
