I really like the look and feel of these shoes — they’re stylish, comfortable, and offer good support. That said, figuring out the right size was more challenging than expected. My foot length is about 10.75 inches, which puts me right between sizes for this brand. I noticed several other reviewers mentioned similar sizing issues, so I wasn’t alone. The decision becomes even trickier depending on whether you plan to wear them barefoot, with socks, or with/without the insole. I initially sized down to a US Men’s 9 because I thought I’d wear them barefoot most of the time, especially in wet conditions. But after trying them, I realized I prefer the comfort the insole provides — and with the insole in, the size 9s are snug. Not painfully tight, but just enough to make getting them on and off a bit of a struggle. My toes have room and the width is fine, but overall they feel slightly compressed. A size 10 would likely have been the better choice for dry wear with the insole. Another minor gripe: when wearing them barefoot, the insole sometimes sticks to the bottom of my foot and comes out when I take the shoe off. It's a little annoying, but easily solved by wearing thin, no-show socks. One feature I really appreciate is the lacing system — the way the laces tuck in to avoid flopping around is a smart touch. Overall, these are fantastic shoes. Just be mindful of how you plan to wear them when choosing your size. I’d recommend sizing up if you’re on the edge and plan to use the insole or wear socks. Even with the sizing hiccup, I’d still recommend them.

Right size, they do come a little big so I ended up having to return for the next size down but now they’re great. ** edit: I took them out on the river and they collect so much sediment and rocks inside the shoes, it made the experience so uncomfortable. The shoes themselves were actually really comfy but I will never use this on the water again. Way too uncomfortable and inconvenient

Bought for my husband who has a wide foot. Fit was great. He thought they were comfortable. We went river tubing and they worked wonderful also. Have a nice harder sole for a water shoe which he really liked.

If your feet are half-size (like mine), you definitely want to order a size down instead of a size up for these shoes. They are very roomy. At the time of this writing, half-sizes aren't offered. I have an 8 1/2 foot size and chose the 9 because I didn't want them to be too tight. But it turns out they are way too loose for me, all around. When I lift my big toe in them there is over an inch of space between it and the front of the shoe. There is open room around my ankle. The shoes themselves are attractive, if a bit "duck bill" looking, but I really like wide toe boxes in shoes and would have no problem wearing these. However, because they are too big for me, my feet slide around in them and there is a very uncomfortable scratchy feeling on the top of my foot where the shoe tongue rubs against it. I wouldn't be able to walk any distance in them. Otherwise, they are very comfortable in the bottom of the foot and I would definitely wear these to the beach. They are very airy with lots of ventilation. Because this is an Amazon Vine product, I am unable to exchange for a smaller size. That option isn't given for me. But I would definitely recommend them if you can get a good fit for you.
