I have put together the two turquoise Adirondack chairs that I ordered, but I have not put together the two lime green ones as they have just arrived. As soon as I open the box, I can give a review on the green ones. The turquoise chairs were easy to put together as a 70+ year-old woman. They seem sturdy and comfortable. A little bit of mud that I got on them was easily cleaned with a wet paper towel and water. I do like the slide out cupholder on the arm of the chair. These chairs are well-made, but I’m not sure if I would call them oversized. I have other chairs that were some of the first Pollywood chairs made 10 plus yearsago and they are considerably larger across the seat and back area. But, these chairs are certainly large enough to accommodate large people like myself.

I bought several of these to replace some World Market wood Adirondacks that had gotten damaged over the year (2 of them with wood rot — they did not hold up well exposed to weather): it took a little to adjust to the slight differences in styling but, as time went by, I found I preferred the aesthetic of these chairs over the World Market design (although, honestly, the World market colors were prettier — this is particularly true of the Blue, World market had a beautiful pale Caribbean blue that worked well with their other pale pastels: coral, yellow and lime; with these the yellow, lime and orange look great together but the turquoise/blue and Red don’t seem to be part of the same color palette — I really wish they had a pale blue.). These chairs DO NOT look waxy or plastic, as another vinyl chair I previously purchased was, these all they have a subtle and convincing wood texture. My color comparison was more of a compliment to World Market, for it’s excellent and harmonious color palette, than a complaint — these colors anre all nice but not all colors harmonize with each other. My only real complaint is that these chairs are quite heavy — this can be a plus in storms but it’s an effort to move them around. The manufacturer made very smart decisions choosing which parts to pre-assemble and, for the most part, assembly was a breeze. The caveat (after assembling over 4 of them): the arm rest with the cup holder is weighted such that it tends to want to twist out of alignment before it is screwed together. This can easily lead to cross threading. As long as you're aware of this and applying extra pressure on the top to keep it square, this won’t be a problem.

Lovely chairs. Went together easily. However, be aware that bug spray with deet will ruin the chair. I had it for all of one day before I found that out. Now it's all sticky. Seems stupid to make an out door chair out of a material that reacts to bug spray- something you often use outdoors while sitting in your chairs.

Right off the bat I will say I am a larger middle-aged woman with some physical limitations. I had an Adirondack chair from a different company that I wasn't totally happy with. I had some problems gracefully getting out of that chair, and I was less than happy with how the color (white) was aging over the years. I read hundreds of reviews of different brands of chairs hoping to find my Goldilocks Adirondack chair, and decided to try this one as other reviewers had mentioned it wasn't quite as low as many others and was easier to get out of. Plus the size and weight capability was a plus, too, even though I'm nowhere near the weight limit. So....the chairs came, each box was very heavy and difficult for me to maneuver. I had also ordered a side table and one ottoman and I decided to assemble those first. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy they both were to assemble, and that gave me confidence to tackle the heavy chairs. Once I got the pieces out of the box, it was much easier to proceed. There were only six pieces to assemble for each chair, and it was fairly simple. MUCH EASIER than previous chairs I had assembled. I did struggle a bit with the weight of the back piece, but managed it alone and took my time. It didn't take long at all, and I'm really pleased with the look AND the comfort. They are not quite as low as stated, the back has the perfect slant, and it's very easy to gracefully get out of this chair. The cup holders are a great little bonus, and tuck completely under the arm when not in use. The only thing I'm slightly disappointed in is the table- it does wobble slightly. Not enough to not use it, but just enough to be annoying. I will second what others have said: do not completely tighten everything until all the pieces are in place. I highly recommend this chair, and suggest any color other than white due to my previous experience with how this white material ages. I bought brown in this set, and fully expect to have it for many years. I'm thinking of buying a rocking chair from this company as I'm so impressed with everything so far.
