Description

The Ibanez PS60 Paul Stanley Signature electric guitar's features and tone mirror the artist who helped design it. With a larger-than-life stage presence and a repertoire of classic rock anthems, KISS rose to fame in the '70s, becoming one of rock 'n' roll's biggest acts. In 1976, Ibanez approached KISS's frontman, Paul Stanley, to create a signature guitar that would become his signature instrument. In 1977, when Stanley and Ibanez began designing his signature guitar, they aimed for a unique design. However, while browsing the Ibanez catalog, Stanley was drawn to the Artist 2663, later known as the "Iceman," for its distinctive asymmetrical shape and body style, which he chose as the template for his signature instrument. The maple neck offers stability and a bright tonal character, while the purpleheart fretboard enhances the guitar's beauty and rich tonal quality. The Ibanez Infinity pickups provide an accurate, tight sound with excellent dynamics, maintaining tonal clarity even under heavy settings.

  • Sounds amazing and looks even better in person!
Color: Silver Sparkle
I bought this guitar as a gift, and it exceeded all our expectations. The sound is excellent, with great projection and clear tones. One thing that really stood out is the design — it looks much more stylish and impressive in person than it does in the pictures. I think it’s the perfect choice for someone at an intermediate level who already has some experience and wants to keep improving with a quality instrument. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners, as it might be a bit too advanced for someone just starting out. In short: an ideal gift for someone who already plays and is looking for a guitar with great sound and solid aesthetics. Very happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Are you serious?
Color: Black
I am simply stunned by the quality of this guitar at this price . Set neck, body and neck binging , block inlays on the fretboard , high output pickups. Mine came setup to perfection also which does occure on occasion but hardly ever especially for a cheaper guitar. All I had to do was tune it, stretch the strings and tune it again. The intonation is on , no fret buzz , low action . I believe there are 10's on the guitar which what use anyway. Some reviews stated that the pickguard is scratched . I think these reviewers fail to realize there is a layer of removable plastic over it . I am not a KISS fan not am I Paul Stanley fan . I've also wanted a full sized Iceman and when I saw this for $299 , I had to buy it. I had the smaller IC120 model , didn't like it. I don't care that it is a Paul Stanley model, a great guitar is a great guitar . It only has his signature on the truss rod cover and it's in cursive , kind of looks cool. A win for me and probably will be my main axe. ... show more

  • I totally recommend this guitar!
Color: Silver Sparkle
This guitar is really awesome! When I unboxed it, I gave it a quick tuning and ran through some KISS riffs, and immediately could tell right off the bat the natural resonance that this guitar has. At some point I’ll most likely upgrade the pots for personal preference, but that’s not a complaint at all. This beauty is well put together, and the tone versatility is amazing! This truly is one of the best guitars out there in its price range. The neck to me feels like an ML neck, not too thin and not too wide. The action for playability is great, and the tone is amazing! And btw, to comment on a previous review, while there are seven string Iceman models on the market, the Iceman was originally put out as a six string instrument in the seventies. In fact the first seven string model Ibanez came out with was the Universe, the Steve Vai signature model, that came out roughly 13 years after the Iceman. Had to say that lol ... show more

  • PS60 KISS collector guitar
Color: Black
There are several versions of this guitar being sold....PS120...PS60 and PSM10. All of them are fairly similar in appearance, quality and price. The Ibanez Paul Stanley signature series guitars can be played, but there are better quality and sounding entry level guitars in my opinion like a Squire Strat or an Epiphone Les Paul and they cost less. The PS60 and similar guitars are made to look good....and mine does. The chrome plastic parts are covered with a protective plastic film and there are several reviews that complain about scratches on the chrome parts. If you peel away the film the chrome looks good. I am storing my PS60 in a glass cabinet and in 20 years I can sell it for 10 times what it is currently worth. ... show more

  • Great guitar.
Color: Black
Guitar is very light but has a great sound. Only issue I have encountered is the nut is slotted too deep causing it to fret out on the first fret. Planned on replacing with a graph tech nut anyways so no issues.
