Haven't had this much fun in awhile!

Before picking up Helldivers in March, I'd soured on a lot of multiplayer games. Because I don't have many people to play with, I usually have to queue up with randoms which isn't the best experience in PvP games. But Helldivers 2 has been a breath of fresh air. I do play with friends a couple times a week, but a majority of my close to 500hrs has been spent queuing up with strangers. And surprisingly I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience. For the most part people aren't going to rage at you if you make a mistake or are struggling, they're much more likely to help you out and offer pointers. So I'd definitely recommend getting a headset for your PlayStation when getting this game! The other thing I love about this game is it's live service model. In a way it's sort of like Dungeons and Dragons in that there's an underlying story thats constantly taking everyone down different paths, depending on if players are able to complete in game objectives or not. The game is also constantly adding new weapons, enemies, missions, maps, and game mechanics. Although not all of these are a resounding success when they drop, the developers are constantly tweaking and adjusting things to keep the game balanced. Another thing that makes Helldivers unique is all the different difficulty levels. I think they've done a good job adjusting them to make sure there's difficulties that are a challenge for both new and veteran players. Especially as people become better at the game, they've done a good job at making the highest difficulties much more challenging. So you aren't always guaranteed success, and you will probably struggle and feel the heat on lvl 10. I think some people have struggled with this concept and expect guaranteed wins on the highest difficulty, as most games have the "power fantasy" to where you can easily take on the world. But that's not Helldivers; you're not a hero, you're an cog in Super Earth's war machine. So if there are new enemies added that make you really struggle, that's what all 10 difficulty levels are for, so you can lower it to match your skill level and ideally build your way up to 10 again! But overall, it's been a really fun game. And even though it's not always polished, it's a consistently fun time!

"Hell Divers 2" for PS5 is AMAZING!!!. I'm a big fan of 3rd person-shooter games. The story line is GREAT and weapons upgrades are very helpful while completing missions. This game is a MUST BUY....An Omage to "Starship Troopers" movies... So much fun!!!

SWEET LIBER-TEA!

This game is a nice fresh breath of co-op air in an over-abundance of shoddy live services. The gameplay feels incredibly well thought-out and it's clear the developers enjoyed making this. Truly a labor of love! The live-service aspects are NOT burdensome in the slightest. The amount of credits you earn may seem small at first, but you will have plenty of stuff to unlock using only medals for dozens of hours. Yes this game has a lot of bugs, yes crazy things do happen because of those bugs, but the developer is fixing things and that is what I love to see! It might be taking time, but this game did take time to make and the developer takes time to do things right! Now for the wild side: Sony I'm not going to completely rag on Sony here. I am stoked that they gave this developer enough time and money to make the game of their (and our) dreams come true. That is how a publisher should do things! You need to let art take its course and let it become something beautiful. What is left is a game that actually has a soul. But as we all have seen, publishers can take dark paths. Thankfully, the community banded together and things are turning around. It's unfortunate that things had to go that direction, but it will be for the best going forward.

Very fun co-op sci-fi shooter at a great price!

This has played essentially like a co-op Starship Troopers game, and has been a blast so far! There's a couple minor bugs (no pun intended) we've encountered, but nothing game-breaking, and the devs seem actively engaged and working to improve the experience even further. This is most definitely going to be one that my friends and I keep coming back to for quite a while. Lots of action, smooth combat, gorgeous visuals, and lots of laughs as well. You can even play solo if you prefer! I highly recommend this game!

For the Republic!! -i mean Super Earth!!

This game is amazing start to my PS5 collection, it is online with low levels typically killing high level allies more than any enemy. The game is perfect if fans of Star Wars Battlefront II (2016) was looking for a 4-person PvE mission based game but it also has flaws with balance patches hitting & missing, tools feel under powered at times but each enemy has a weakness toward a gun, if you play a certain role you might be swished. Try to keep teams balanced with specific roles. I feel like I should have to say this 😔 if you want to be the lone survivor taking out the endless hordes you will not be able to play solo on its most extreme difficulty. If you CAN solo on the most extreme difficulty you are probably worth a few million on Twitch as a professional gamer! 😅 If you are like me who has friends with the game, stick to you specific role, barely change your skills and stay in formation with great tactics like 3 front soldiers and rear support, Tanks on the side to prevent flanked, Assault in the center and Support in the rear or 2-man cell with your main having leading a charge and you opposite 90% arc observations.. please use standard military tactics and remember to leave your politics at the door unless it is about freedom and democracy for Super Earth

How much managed democracy can you deliver?

How much DPS (Democracy Per Second) can you introduce to the enemies of Super Earth! As a helldiver, you'll be able to customize your ship and characters as you give the gift of freedom and liberty to different planets! Its a shame that somehow a $40 game can outshine many AAA games that are $70.00 From engaging gameplay to non predatory monetization practices. The gameplay is fun and chaotic, never knowing what kind of craziness you'll stumble upon while delivering sweet democracy! Every level will be different with multiple loadouts and stratagem you can choose from, as you play the game you can unlock more items for character customization and loadouts without the need to spend a single penny. If you want to support the developers by purchasing super credits the price is reasonable fair, unlike *cough Apex Legends* *cough EA* I wish this practice was adopted more by AAA developers Instead of trying to nickle and dime their customers.
