Before picking up Helldivers in March, I'd soured on a lot of multiplayer games. Because I don't have many people to play with, I usually have to queue up with randoms which isn't the best experience in PvP games. But Helldivers 2 has been a breath of fresh air. I do play with friends a couple times a week, but a majority of my close to 500hrs has been spent queuing up with strangers. And surprisingly I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience. For the most part people aren't going to rage at you if you make a mistake or are struggling, they're much more likely to help you out and offer pointers. So I'd definitely recommend getting a headset for your PlayStation when getting this game! The other thing I love about this game is it's live service model. In a way it's sort of like Dungeons and Dragons in that there's an underlying story thats constantly taking everyone down different paths, depending on if players are able to complete in game objectives or not. The game is also constantly adding new weapons, enemies, missions, maps, and game mechanics. Although not all of these are a resounding success when they drop, the developers are constantly tweaking and adjusting things to keep the game balanced. Another thing that makes Helldivers unique is all the different difficulty levels. I think they've done a good job adjusting them to make sure there's difficulties that are a challenge for both new and veteran players. Especially as people become better at the game, they've done a good job at making the highest difficulties much more challenging. So you aren't always guaranteed success, and you will probably struggle and feel the heat on lvl 10. I think some people have struggled with this concept and expect guaranteed wins on the highest difficulty, as most games have the "power fantasy" to where you can easily take on the world. But that's not Helldivers; you're not a hero, you're an cog in Super Earth's war machine. So if there are new enemies added that make you really struggle, that's what all 10 difficulty levels are for, so you can lower it to match your skill level and ideally build your way up to 10 again! But overall, it's been a really fun game. And even though it's not always polished, it's a consistently fun time!

This game is a nice fresh breath of co-op air in an over-abundance of shoddy live services. The gameplay feels incredibly well thought-out and it's clear the developers enjoyed making this. Truly a labor of love! The live-service aspects are NOT burdensome in the slightest. The amount of credits you earn may seem small at first, but you will have plenty of stuff to unlock using only medals for dozens of hours. Yes this game has a lot of bugs, yes crazy things do happen because of those bugs, but the developer is fixing things and that is what I love to see! It might be taking time, but this game did take time to make and the developer takes time to do things right! Now for the wild side: Sony I'm not going to completely rag on Sony here. I am stoked that they gave this developer enough time and money to make the game of their (and our) dreams come true. That is how a publisher should do things! You need to let art take its course and let it become something beautiful. What is left is a game that actually has a soul. But as we all have seen, publishers can take dark paths. Thankfully, the community banded together and things are turning around. It's unfortunate that things had to go that direction, but it will be for the best going forward.

As described, fast shipping, good comms & trustworthy. The game came scratch less, the case is in excellent condition, the artwork insert is mint there’s not much more I can praise. The price was spot on for a used game. I ABSOLUTELY HATE LIVE SERVICE GAMES. On principle I do not play there’s games because of the predatory features & & lack of quality. However I do enjoy this game very much. I truly forget it live service because it plays like many other games. You unlock skins, weapons, upgrades etc naturally without needed to grind for hours. Sure you can buy some in game currency but there’s no real use. Skill is the focus & that’s simply wonderful.
