Description

The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar: the iconic guitar that started it all back in 1985. The Custom 24-08 keeps all the foundational specs of the instrument, while taking the Custom platform to new sonic territories. Like the Core Series instrument, the SE Custom 24-08 features two mini-toggle coil- tap switches that individually tap the humbuckers for single coil sounds and a total of eight pickup configurations. Classic design elements include a maple top, mahogany back, rosewood fretboard, 24 frets, 25” scale length, bird inlays, signature headstock logo, and PRS patented molded tremolo.

The guitar as an instrument, it is fantastic. It plays well, sounds well, just pure high quality. However, Cherry Burst color is not the same as shown in the amazon product page or the PRS SE Custom 24-08 webpage. The center "charcoal" color is too light creating too strong contrast with the Cherry color of the outside. It felt like holding a red doughnut guitar. Looks like the picture. Played well out of the box (which took a beating), props to Cort folks on their packing method! The options to use single coil on either pickup is awesome, can imitate other guitar tones fairly well. I absolutely enjoy playing it, that's the most important. This is the finest instrument you can buy. The tone and variations of the pick ups / switching, is professional grade. I have a silver sky and a DGT. this is my favorite! Hard rock to sweet cleans, the fretboard is outstanding smooth and the color! well made, sounds great! AWESOME guitar!!
