Features
- Black Ridged Slats for 8ft chain link are deliberately cut to about 92.5 inches long. These fence inserts are designed primarily for 8ft 11 or 9 gauge chain link with a two inch diamond. Also works in economy chain link with a larger diamond pattern, but privacy will be less. Slats must be installed correctly and be fully inserted inside the wire mesh of your fence to achieve the desired results. Cannot be used to extend the fence height. Not suitable for fences on a steep slope.
- Each slat measures 1.25 inches wide. Bottom-locking Ridged Slats will provide approximately 85 percent blockage in chain link with a 2" diamond. Slats installed in chain link mesh with a 2-1/4" diamond will achieve approximately 80% coverage. Slats used in economy chain link fabric with a 2-3/8" diamond will produce about 75% privacy. Diamond size is determined by measuring diagonally between the parallel wires - NOT corner to corner.
- Each box contains 82 W shaped slats and three 42-inch pieces of Viper Channel - enough to cover 10 linear feet of chain link with a 2" diamond pattern. Chain link with a larger diamond mesh pattern will use fewer slats but ALL the track provided in each box. 2-1/4" chain link will use about 77 slats per 10 feet. 2-3/8" chain link will use about 74 slats per 10 feet. Viper Channel is available for sale separately in case you need more. Remember a larger diamond equates to less privacy.
- Slats are manufactured in the USA using domestically sourced HDPE (high density polyethylene), color concentrate, and UV inhibitors to protect from the harmful effects of the sun. Tube Slats are covered by a 30-year warranty yet claims are very rare. HDPE privacy enhancements are suitable for use in any climate or weather. It is the fence owners responsibility to ensure their fence will withstand the increased wind load caused by the addition of slats.
- Single wall bottom lock Ridged Slats provide the most privacy for the money compared to other vertically inserted slat designs. This wider extrusion uses less material allowing us to package more slats in a smaller box to protect the slats. This makes Ridged Slats a more affordable option for homeowners, schools, colleges, businesses, stadiums, storage facilities, etc. Slats are a permanent addition to fence that lasts much longer than wind screen or privacy tape.

This product is great! It came as described and arrived in excellent condition. Slats come in several color choices, and I chose the color beige since that was the color that matched our house best. The slats we chose were to cover 6-foot-tall fence 75 feet long that ran the whole width of our back property line. It was easy to install, and no tools were necessary to install it in our chain-link fence. It improved the look of the fence and backyard, and it gave us the privacy we wanted and needed in the backyard. We live in a new housing development in town, and they installed chain-link fence along the outer perimeter of the homes since someone else owns the land on the other side, and we are stuck with the ugly chain-link fence. Our only option was to either leave it alone, plant some plants to cover it over time, pay to build a wood fence in front of it which didn't make sense to us & the only type of fence allowed in the development if you wanted a totally enclosed back yard was wood (crazy right?). The plants along the fence were costly and some needed replacing because of extreme weather and were high maintenance, so we decided to improve it by making the chain-link fence look better with the slats and give us the needed privacy we wanted. It looks great and it's so nice to have privacy in our back yard without having to put up a costly enclosed wood fence, especially since the neighbors on both sides of us have wood fences enclosing their backyards. The fence slats seem very durable and should hold up to our hot summers and cold winters. We feel this was the best option and it worked out great for us. I highly recommend this product and seller. Very easy to assemble. We bought 5 colors, we had two of us working on it to keep the colors in order,One picking the colors they other assembling the fence. we ordered the 5ft and it fit perfectly with our 5 ft fence. We have the 2 1/4 inch space on the chain link, which allowed 2 slats in each one.Time will tell if it stands up to the Arizona heat. When I pulled out the first slate it seemed a bit thin but after working with it I believe the fence will be adequate for the long term. The wind was a factor in the product selection,we tried the mesh products they we torn apart by the wind. I believe this is a quality product for the price, with look we wanted. Will try and update a year from now how it holds up under Phoenix Az. Heat.

Keep track of the number of slates you put up on your fence and the number that is on the labels. I finished my fence and realized I still had space left over on the lower clip. So based off the sellers information you should get enough slats to fill the entire Clips they send you. I contacted the seller and he had me count my slats and came to find out that the number of slots I had did not reciprocate the same numbers on the labels on the box. I was 13 short. So not only do they short me their quality control guy lied on the boxes and went ahead and sent them to me. I have contacted the seller and he has made it right it just took some time of counting and communicating. This is the only reason why I didn't give it five stars. First off I'm very pleased with the product I installed 30 ft in about 2 hours taking my time. It's extremely easy to install you probably won't even break a sweat. The product is made well and seems that it will last quite some time. I had the two inch diamonds and I have quite a bit of coverage when it comes to seeing through the fence. I may try taking fence tape and covering the rest of the open areas. If I do I will update this and let you know.

I ordered these slats for one section (the left side on the photos) of my fence in 2020, and again for the right side this year (2025) after having the property line trimmed resulted in less privacy than both we and the neighbors desired. It is nearly indistinguishable which slats are brand new and which have been there 5 years. We have a wooden privacy fence that was put up in 2017 that looks awful compared to these slats. Initially I thought the price was a little high for the coverage area but after seeing how they held up, I am convinced these are the best option for privacy, durability and appearance. I have even hit the older slats with the weed whacker more times than I care to admit with very, very little damage, only to the track at the bottom. They are also super easy to install AND made in America?! I wish I could give 10 stars.

Worth every penny!! I love the way the fence looks now. It makes it pretty private and was very easy to install. I could have easily did it myself but with my husband it went very quickly. My only complaint is there isnt really enough bottom strips if you use the whole box. My fence took about 1 3/4 boxes and just barely enough bottom strips for that. I suggest you put the bottoms in first, then the vertical strips will slide right into place. They click/lock when they are in right. Ours were a bit too long but were easy to trim at the top with ordinary scissors.

These slats worked great and just as described. I installed them just enough (like 1 where normally 3 or 4 would be used) that they don't block the view but enough that the baby deer don't run right into my fence and break their necks - which happened twice before I used these. Good price, good product.
