Wanted this as added protection for my 4-day snowboarding trip where we boarded all 4 days. This certainly was worth the money as anytime I fell I didn't feel it. The reason I gave it a 4 star is after the first day it began to rip. Realistically this won't make it through a whole season.

    • Work great, but the size chart is way off.
I am 5'10" and 175 lbs, 32 inch waist. According to the size chart, I would be an XL, however, the M is the size that actually fits me. Besides the size being off, they work great.

    • Padded shorts for skating
These padded shorts fit well, and I chose the size based on the size chart. I also ordered another brand with the exact same appearance to compare. The other brand looked exactly like this except the piping was black, which I would have preferred. However those shorts had thinner pads at every area, and were not as comfortable so I returned them. I just wish the piping was black on these shorts, so I would feel comfortable wearing it on the outside of my black leggings when I go skating and I could easy pull them off afterwards. I don't like the silver outline on my butt and hips to be emphasized, so I wear these under my sweatpants, but after skating I have to go to the bathroom to take them off from under my pants, and that is inconvenient. These are great. The first time I tried these out, I felt like superwoman which made me try some tricks that I wasn't quite ready for, hitting my knee and arm. So it goes without saying that these do not turn you into an unbreakable superhero. The second time I tried these out I actually landed on my bum, both on a metal feature and on a ramp, they worked great!!! No bruise or pain. My friend has the Body Prox shorts which I tried on and they're insanely bulky. He likes them but I wasn't really a fan, felt like they were more for men than women. These fit really nicely, they're not bulky and I don't really feel them while I'm riding. If it's worn directly on the skin I think they feel a little rough so do wear them over leggings and a tight shirt which works great. I'm 5'2, 130lbs and got the medium size. 5’2 115 pounds and got a size medium because I thought the small would be too tight. The medium worked but a small would’ve been fine too I think. I tried them out this week. Went snowboarding for the first time this season and bit it a bunch. For reference this was my second time ever snowboarding and I Didn’t have any bruises on my behind or sides and was not super sore the next day. Low quality butt pad but does what it’s supposed to for a cheap price. They definitely don’t look like they’ll last long bc of the clothing material. The fit is also very off. Should order a size up
