I got this for my son 3 years ago (he was 10, now 13) for learning to snowboard. He is still going to use it for his third season. My youngest wants to board now too, so I bought it for him, but if he doesn't use it I'll try it for myself and pick up that board again. Bought for my 4yo daughter who started ice skating. She had fallen on her tailbone at the park & was in a lot of pain. She was afraid of falling while ice skating but this helped her confidence. When she fell she never acted like it hurt. Definitely try it for your kids.

I wish this pad had more adjustable size range. my boy is 8 yr old and he has thick bones. I'm not sure how many of you knows about a person who has thicker bone, they usually struggle with their body weight. this kind of special product is more useful for person who weighs more than their h/t or age. long story short, this didn't fit well. Bought it for my daughter to practice roller skating in. She likes this better than the other butt pads we bought. She is a 7 year old at 52 inches and fits her perfectly. She likes that she is able to wear it over her pants and it covers her tailbone area...key point for safety.
