I needed a case for travel for my new smartphone gimbal (a Zhiyun Smooth 5e). This case fit the dimensions perfectly, and has room to spare for future accessories. The case feels solid and the foam is easy to tear out where necessary. There is the eggcrate foam in the lid (and it is secured with glue in a few spots) and a removable, flat piece of foam in the bottom. It is difficult to cut unless you're using a very sharp razor blade, but it is not meant to be cut, so it's a bit of a moot point. The plastic feels sturdy and looks nice. I am glad I ordered this and would 100% recommend it if you're needing a case of this size.

Bought to test as a prototype. Compared to an equivalent Pelican, this has lighter, thinner walls, closing clamp not as strong. For our application this was not useful, but for general use it is perfectly useable. Did not test for waterproof.

We bought this case to take a very fragile item overseas on a trip with us. We knew the case would be in our luggage and would literally be thrown around from airport to airport. It did an AMAZING job. It was so sturdy and the very fragile item survived the journey. It felt kind of lightweight (good for weighing the suitcase at the airport counter) but it was not light in duty, it was sturdy and did the job. The handle even folded down to put in our suitcase. The clamps work well on closing it tightly and it worked perfectly. Love it! It seemed kind of pricey but it worked perfectly so it was worth it!

In this case, you get what you pay for. The quality isn’t that great. I don’t feel confident in the longevity of the latches and hinges specifically. The plastic also feels incredibly cheap. I do think by nature of a hard case with foam, my camera will be protected. I just worry that one day the latch will fail and my camera equipment will fall out anyway. The latch mechanism relies on a small plastic lip that will wear away incredibly easily over time. I’m coming from experience with SKB cases which have held up for almost a decade and numerous flights. Pros: - Cheap - Protective - Lightweight portability Cons: - Quality - Latch and hinge security/durability
