it's great. It fit my Bb
I'm posting my review over a year after I bought this case. As far as doing the job, yes, it's great. It fit my Bb, my C and my piccolo with absolutely no problems, and using my little blocks to make a perfect fit was like playing "trumpet legos" to my roommate and I. I was extremely pleased with this case after buying it, and continued to like it for a while. But within the first 6 months, I had issues with the zippers. First, it was the front pocket. The zipper had managed to detach itself a little, which led to that strange phenomenon where you zip and it doesn't actually zip anything because the tines don't quite line up. After zipping from one end for a while, I managed to find a solution that just meant I couldn't open up the pocket all the way, which is fine. The next issue was when the zipper for the case started detaching itself. Slowly but surely, the zipper is coming off the case, and though I could hand sew it back on (probably never quite as good as a machine could do) the material on the zipper seems cheap (the fabric of the case itself is high quality nylon and I've had no problems with that) and I fear that I'd just have to keep resewing it, or eventually replacing the zipper which with the hard shell of the case would be a hassle and a half. I hear that protec has a lifetime warranty, but I didn't keep the paperwork. The lifetime warranty would work out well-- but when you'd need repairs every year or so, I don't think this choice is worth it. The major pro, however, with this case is the cost. This case is inexpensive, does the job, and protects your horn momentarily. The issue is that this case isn't a lifer. It'd be fine if used sparingly for those few gigs you need all 3 horns, but it's not for everyday use. As a college student, the price was right. But I've since had to invest a little bit more money into a more expensive case...which happened to be used, but still of much much better quality and well worth the investment. I'm on the fence with protec. I want to like them because they're affordable and trying to create items that mimic the more expensive ones on the market, but they just don't seem to hold up.

Two trumpets and a flugelhorn all fit!!
Great case!! I had a similar Protec double trumpet case and dragged it about for over a year with no appreciable wear; zippers, handles, wheels, all still in good shape. Got another horn, needed a triple case! C and B-flat trumpets plus a rotary-valve flugelhorn fit just fine. The case interior is basically an open rectangle but it comes with MANY Velcro inserts of various shapes and sizes, including several mouthpiece holders, to customize the space as desired. If you get this case, plan to spend some time figuring the best arrangement for your needs. A generous outside pocket is large enough for music and even a small folding stand.

Because of recent back trouble, I needed a case ...
Because of recent back trouble, I needed a case that could be wheeled instead of needing to be carried. This holds both my Bb and D trumpets and is quite satisfactory for getting from the car into the auditorium and back again without having to carry it. However, it is not deep enough for my fluegelhorn, even on its side alone in the case. As it is, the rim of my Bb horn is contacted by the 1/4 plywood covers of top and bottom with no padding except the case lining. There is no extra room for mutes. The zippered side pocket, ostensibly for music, is far too narrow to hold a standard band/orchestra music folder. This case is really more of a wheeled, lightly hard sided gig bag; I would not use it for traveling by air, nor would I ever try to ship an instrument in it, as it affords really no protection to the rim of a standard Bb horn. It does what I bought it for, but its shortcomings make it less than an ideal case for any additional needs.

very nice well thought out case
this case has the ability to fit most of the horns I need, it may take a little thinking to get it configured the way you need, but it works. the outside zipper pocket is big enough for music and other items stay neatly organized. Easier to take this and a separate case for my piccolo than taking several cases, a music bag, etc.

I'm toting three horns safely now
I really loved how many possible configurations there were, and the picture showing how a ton of people had done it. I got my C horn, flugel, and B flat in there comfortably. The mouthpiece velcro holders were a nice surprise!

A solution to multiple cases!
I am delighted with this case! It replaces three cases with one, and holds four of my horns perfectly (Bb trumpet, C trumpet, flugelhorn, and piccolo trumpet), along with a couple of mutes and assorted tools. It is well made with strong stitching and ample internal padding that can be customized in a variety of protective configurations. The handle and wheels provide an ideal way to ease the strain on my shoulder (I have bursitis), and there is a spacious zipper pouch on the front outside of the case. Thanks, Pro-Tec!

Love it!!
This will be a case to last me a life time. It’s nice and hard so it can take a beating but also has a wonderful exterior. Amazing inside, you can customize it too which is an awesome feature. I also recommend getting the protec backpack straps even though they don’t come with the case itself. Backpack straps are awesome and quality for price. Man, I love this case!!!

A great, no frills, case
This case is a great way to get your horns around. I currently transport my Bach C and Bb in it (with stands in the bells) and have absolutely no complaints. Holds up well and and seems really really sturdy.
