  • Just like the non-wheeled version, but a little better designed.
Style: Double Horn Case With Wheels
I should start with the fact that I like the Pro-Tec Double Trumpet Case without wheels. But carrying two trumpets with other stuff attached to the bag (mute bag) is a little much. The case has pretty sturdy construction and a lot of pads that are trumpet length and can easily be moved for your best design of how they should fit. It also includes several (plenty) of little foam blocks to prop up the horns and keep them from butting against the lid when closed. It includes a velcro pocket for 2 mouthpieces. The front has a pouch for music that will fit the slim music folders that hold 8.5" X 11" pages of music, not the bigger folders. It is orientated so that the top of the pouch aligns with the short edge of the case, instead of the long edge. This is a big improvement over the non-wheeled version, and allows for much more storage. It also includes the famous Pro-Tec organizer for pens, pencils, business cards, etc.. The wheels and pull handle are awesome, probably a little less than the Gard versions, but plenty sturdy and strong. I have had NO issues wheeling it over parking lots and hallways. It includes a shoulder strap, however, I won't be putting this thing on my shoulder any time soon. The zippers and velcro fasteners work just like the other Pro-Tec cases and the cord handles are good. It also features rings for you to fasten other items like a mute bag. It is not a huge bag, the non-wheeled version is flyable without checking it, but the wheels may make it too big for overhead storage on a plane. I would NOT check this bag when flying. Two trumpets fit perfectly and will probably not hold a tall cornet. Cornets with a small wrap may fit, but not if they are taller than a trumpet. It would probably hold a flugelhorn on its side, but not in combination with another instrument. This is not meant to be a hard case, therefore it is not as heavy as a traditional double case (ie: Bach), but that is probably why you are considering it in the first place. The wheels and pull handle make it a little heavy to put on your shoulder. If you are looking for a wheelie bag to carry two trumpets or one trumpet and a bunch of mutes, stand, mute holder, etc.., this is a great bag for it. ... show more

  • Excellent Case!
It rivals other cases that are much more expensive approaching the $500 range. The shell isn't as sturdy as "hard" cases. but it is by no means poor quality or flimsy. it is still very durable and strong. After i read some reviews i was anticipating it to be very soft however I was pleasantly surprised by how strong it really was. I confidently trust this case. The ability to arrange the inside is great. Everything i sadjustable with velcro, even the side pads. The side pouch is large enough for many full sized books etc. An Arban will easily fit with room to spare. I got the case without wheels to save space in the carry-on luggage specs of airlines. It fit on a delta puddle jumper with 2 seats on either side of the aisle. It would have fit above in the overhead bins but i put it on the floor under the seat in front of me as there were no dividers between those seats. I was actually able to fit four horns in this case by adding a longer foam strip that I made on my own. I fit a B-flat, C, e-flat yamaha 4 valve, and yamaha custom picc. I wouldn't do this all the time, but i had to fly with four horns and wanted to carry all them on. In normal circumstances I will use it as a triple. Very pleased. The the price is fantastic if you look around at what other similar cases are going for. ... show more

  • Great case for the money!
Style: Double Horn Case
This is a great case for the money! I have traveled twice with mine now. It fits in most overhead compartments on an airplane. I would not put in in checked luggage under the plane, but it is nice and light and easy to carry - even better with the backpack straps. Just enough room for two horns and some mouthpieces inside. The outside pocket has enough space to fit a straight mute or maybe a practice mute, my iPad mini and my headphones for the plane. I am very satisfied and happy with this purchase. If I had to do it over, I'd do it over! ... show more

  • Nice case
Style: Double Horn Case With Wheels
Double trumpet wheelie case. Bought to replace the same item I purchased several years ago. Zippers move easily as do the wheels. Many different options to place the removable cubes. You will need to play around with the placement of the cubes to obtain the best secure fit for your instruments. Comes with an optional strap if you want to wear the case on your back like a backpack. The only downfall for me is the front zipper pouch isn’t wide enough to hold my orchestra folder. ... show more

  • Protec IPAC Triple Trumpet Case Review Protec IPAC Triple Trumpet Case Review
A few months back I had bought the Gard triple elite gig bag for my c, b flat, and piccolo trumpets. While it was compact and easy to move my stuff around, I wanted something less flimsy and more protective. This Protec IPAC triple trumpet case while just a little bit over the price of the gard bag, is much more protective. I was pleasantly surprised at how customizable the foam inserts were, and my trumpets fit very nicely and are very secure. This case is comparable to the Marcus Bonna triple case, but is half the price and just slightly less protective. Very good value for the price! This case has survived rain and it would surely survive random accidents. The inside foam Is soft and thick, and the outside is strong and hard. ... show more

  • Two trumpets and a flugelhorn all fit!!
Great case!! I had a similar Protec double trumpet case and dragged it about for over a year with no appreciable wear; zippers, handles, wheels, all still in good shape. Got another horn, needed a triple case! C and B-flat trumpets plus a rotary-valve flugelhorn fit just fine. The case interior is basically an open rectangle but it comes with MANY Velcro inserts of various shapes and sizes, including several mouthpiece holders, to customize the space as desired. If you get this case, plan to spend some time figuring the best arrangement for your needs. A generous outside pocket is large enough for music and even a small folding stand. ... show more

  • Protec solid as usual.
Style: Double Horn Case
I bought this to downgrade from a triple pack (same model line). I was tired of carrying around the bulky and heavy triple. I keep my C and piccolo in this, and if I need to, trade out the picc for the tubber (b-flat). Ipac modular system helps this process be way easier. There are more expensive cases on the market that do the same thing, so this is definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Protec cases are great
Style: Double Horn Case
I had a different single trumpet case from Protec for nearly 20 years. The zipper stitching is starting to fail finally... probably an easy fix but I was ready for a new case. I picked this up at a local music store and was really happy with how flexible it is. I'm currently using it as a single trumpet case with plenty of room for accessories, but if I ever have a need to bring 2 trumpets I'm ready for that too. The side pocket is VERY generously sized even if you do use it with 2 trumpets. The foam protective pieces and dividers are on velcro and can be moved around for optimum protection for your specific trumpets and accessories. My college-age son also wanted a new case so a couple weeks after getting mine, I ordered him an identcal one here on Amazon. ... show more
