I really love these boots. I have post thrombotic syndrome (blood pools in leg and feet causing swelling) and lymphedema (more swelling in legs and feet). So I need a size 13 with a width of 6e. I tried over 15 different boots and these were the only ones that fit my feet comfortably and allowed me to insert my feet without pain. Have been using these for almost a year and they still fit and feel great. I have had no issues with durability and wear them almost exclusively everywhere I go (gym, hiking, camping, walking, etc.) I have put over 100 miles of hiking on this pair with zero problems. They are so comfortable to wear and protect my feet from injury. I haven't even experienced any blistering when new like other boots I have owned. I now own 3 pairs in different colors. Refuse to buy anything else. The boot version was also more comfortable that the shoe version. On the shoe version, the heel end of the foot opening was very rigid and painfully poked the back of my foot with every step.

Full disclosure, I have yet to break these boots in completely. They fit very true to size, and are extremely wide for those of us that have a very wide foot. That's a hard thing to find in a shoe these days, especially when you have a 14 and 1/2 sized foot. My one complaint is that they are quite stiff even after several dozen outings. And they are rather large, and the best way that I can think to describe them as clunky. They're not exactly overly heavy, but they're just bulky. With those negatives out of the way, they are wonderfully waterproof, they are roomy and comfortable for a person with a very large and wide foot, their stylish looking, and they manage to hold up well under rough wear and tear of a large person. I would recommend these to anyone else who has an extremely wide and long foot, and is looking for a nice waterproof boot to get through a winter. I'm hoping that they will loosen up a bit once they are fully broken in, but there's stiff nature is not enough to keep me away. I only wish that I had had this brand available in the past, because they are a quality Boot at a wonderful price.

I wear size 11 "wide" (probably E?) and ordered the 11 2E which were too narrow. Seller was great about the return and refund. I then ordered the 11 XX wide (are these real sizes?) which got here quickly and fit perfectly. Put them on and wore them for a full day and they were perfect with no break-in needed. They are warm for summertime in Okla. but completely worth it because of the comfort. I've always worn Merrell hikers before but they were out of my size and these were priced substantially lower so I figured they were worth a try. So glad I got them due to price AND they're more comfortable. Will probably order another pair this Fall/Winter.

There is the good and then the bad…first the good: These boots appear to be very well made. Lightweight but sturdy. The lugs are deep and likely offer solid traction. The price seems quite reasonable for the quality of these boots. Now the bad, at least for me: The XX-Wide is E width, or 2E at best. I wear EEE shoes, and these boots are painfully narrow. I loosened the laces all the way down, but they were still painful. Interestingly the label on the boot tongue reads “XX (5E)”. Again, they are 2E at best. If width is not an issue for you, buy the boots.

I believe this is the 5th pair we have bought in the last 3 years! My husband being diabetic find these as the most comfortable shoe/boot that he has ever worn! Always had issues with rub/pinch points which created problems. No issues with these for 2 1/2 years!

Haven't used them yet on a hike but they seem sturdy and comfortable. I have very wide feet. 3E or even 4E in some cases. My normal size is 10.5 (usa). I ordered the in 11 XXW and they seem wide enough but I think if I had gotten them in 10.5, they would be too narrow in the toe. So my suggestion is to do a half size big if you have super wide feet. Plan to revise my review up or down after some hiking but thought I'd share what I learned on sizing.
