    • Misleading WiFi Functionality, Bad Tech Support.

I had hoped to use this for my home office, particularly with the promise of it being "OS agnostic" and sporting the ability to connect via WiFi. Except, that's not really true. What Promethean does not tell you is, yes this can connect over WiFi, but in order to do so you need to purchase an "OPS". The bottom-of-the-line are $700 and regularly over $2,000 for ones with "full functionality". Otherwise, it's two large cables snaking across the floor of your office. Not a fan when a $200 TV from a big-box store can connect over WiFi no problem. What's worse, the product support was terrible. I called and asked on the phone what products would work for to use this over WiFi, the tech said they would follow up with an email that lists some options. The email literally just sent me to the Promethean product page... not the Active Panel 10 page, not products that would work, no... it sent me to the "featured products" page of their website. No help at all, just an advertisement. The fact that the product description is misleading (promising functionality that in truth requires shelling out an additional grand or two) and the tech support is non-existent, I have scheduled a return for this product after testing. If there are restocking fees I will be pursuing a chargeback with my credit card due to the misleading nature of this product's description. Buyers beware. ... show more
