I had the original version of this charger in our Crownline for 8 years and loved it. It worked perfectly, and kept the original batteries that came with the boat working great for that entire time. That is, until it got struck by lightning... So I ordered this, updated version of the same charger. It is exactly as nice as the old one with some nice upgrades including the charging gauge and the easier method of selecting the battery chemistry. I was extremely happy with the first one and would still have it if not for our mishap. I expect this one will carry on as the old one did, keeping my original batteries topped up when the boat is sitting.

Easy to install (this was the best part-template included for pilot holes and 4 quick screws to attach it with) and instructions made it easy to understand the connections/setup based on different battery requirements.

Had the product installed professionally during a full rewire of my boat and a month later all the batteries were dead, we had the battery charger set to flooded lead but a month later when my electrician came back and check he noticed it had switched to AGM and in the process overcharged and Fried $1000 worth of batteries. We had no idea what caused this so we called pro-mariner support and they said they’ve never heard of this and promised the charger was not at fault and had us set it back to lead acid and install $1000 of new batteries out of my pocket ofcourse and one week later went to use my boat and again all the new batteries were dead, another $1000 loss my electrician came back and saw that the battery charger had switched back to AGM by itself again. We called promariner support again and they rudely refused to help said there charger was not at fault and that to be sure we should bye a new one from them at full price. I’ve used these charges on other boat in years past with no issues but I will never use one again knowing this could happen and the company that makes it doesn’t stand by there products or there customers!
