Great bait net. This is my second one. The first one last about two years and eventually the netting broke down so I ordered a second one. It fits great in rod holders and the foam handle makes a tight seal. I travel at high speeds and never have to worry about it falling or bouncing out of the rod holder. Product came after about a week. It is very lite, the handle is made from what I think is ABS. It does NOT have the strength, wall thickness or weight of schedule 40 PVC. So were you to say step on it on a deck I'm certain it would shatter the handle. Also the handle is loose and comes out of the head fitting without manipulation and will require some glue. The head WILL NOT FLOAT without the handle. I purchased for a Hobie kayak small bait well so none of those issues really impacted me as a deal breaker. In my case it was the size. Typically 1" makes no difference. In this case it does. Its advertised as 8"x9"x20". see photos its actually 9"x9"x20", which is fine. But, it aint gonna fit that Hobie well. Its going back. Now Put your own dowl handle on it or don't step on it and have your glue ready, you may still be satisfied, for $25 I'm not. I don't mind a little McGyver, but if you make it disposable price it disposable and make the size as advertised. Good luck. ... show more

Once again I quickly bought something on Amazon without reading all the facts. Thought I was buying a bass dip net for the price. It ends up being a net for a fish tank. I have to quit trusting Amazon to sell me quality stuff and not some cheap trick photography shot junk.

Love the net… very sturdy for what it is and it floats!!!! Unlike my last one that’s at the bottom of the ocean. Very pleased with purchase. Makes easy work of netting menhaden and eels out of my live well with added security if I drop it over… just turn around and scoop it up
