    • Great Desk, INSANELY HORRIBLE Assembly
This standing desk has all the features you'd imagine you'd want, alongside a one-piece table top that looks and feels premium. Motor is nice: fast and quiet, only slightly louder when going down instead of up. Only slight downside is that the metal bars in the middle kinda protrude downwards a little bit more than I'd look so while having it as the lower settings, I can smack my knee on them as I'm moving. For these reasons alone, it would've been an easy 5. However... The reason for the 2 star review is solely for the assembly. I've assembled at least 20-30 things, including things that have received 1 star reviews from people and I still managed to do them easily. Instructions aren't clear at all, and ALL the pieces are disassembled and very heavy. If you're just one person doing this alone, I sure hope you've got more back and arm strength than I. Stretch before you do anything, otherwise you'll pull a muscle... believe me I know. What irks is that they've got it mentioned as a 20-30 minute assembly. If someone get those done in 20-30 minutes, you deserve a degree. It took me an overall 6 hours, whilst taking breaks from all the heavy lifting in-between. Woke up the next day with a sore back. That's after I called over 2 friends to help me with lifting the table top onto the desk. What doesn't help is how the instructions aren't clear at all. I sincerely thought I was getting a whole different desk than what I ordered. Those two friends that came at the end thought I was sincerely joking with them when I told them the instructions are for this desk. Some things included in the desk weren't even mentioned in the instructions and you had to figure out what to do (the electric box for instance slides into the metal bars in the middle, although they've got screw holes in them...) Quick tip for those that decide to get this desk (which you absolutely should if you've got at least another friend or some pretty good body strength), you should probably assemble the desk normally, and do not have it inverted like how they do in the photos, that would've probably helped me a lot. ... show more
