I’m a heavy guy, so leaning forward and putting all my weight on my hands and wrists becomes uncomfortable and causes numbness really quick. So I bought these so I can sit in a more upright position taking the weight off my hands and wrists. I added some bar tape for more cushion and it made all the difference in my 5 mile ride today. Only takes a few seconds to install. I did have to cut the rubber handlebar grips to make room for the bar extension. If you’re in a similar situation it’s an inexpensive fix and I highly recommend it. ... show more

These are of good quality. I just wish they had a 90 degree bend so I could have Parallel Bars. Used to have a Pair many years ago. No longer can find that Bar end bend.

I am a mountain biker and decided to use these for some of my longer rides. This is a great solution for a hand rest. I would say this is a easy install. Use a sharp knife to cut rubber handlebars. We have another bike with these exact handles that we’ve had for about 10 years and they’ve lasted through wear and tear. The handles do not get hot in the sun. ... show more

These bar ends are easy to install. The shifters and brake levers need to be pushed inwards on the handlebars about 1 cm to make room for the width of the bar ends. They give you the ability to vary hand positions on flat bar road and fitness bikes. They prevent sore hands, carpal tunnel, and are good to flatten your back out for a short time with headwinds.
