I really like the way the handle extensions can be used for a more 'upright' ride. My bicycle is a Brooklyn Franklin 3, upright step-through. Very easy to sit up, but the handlebars don't extend back as far as I'd like I was still hunched over a bit, and would rather sit fully upright and be able to hold the handlebars. Placing these on a near-flat angle, aiming towards me, allows for a more 'true' upright riding position. Very nice. They feel durable and they fit right on the handlebars with no issue. Very easy to install and hold their position.

Look at the picture of the black color one. Do you see the misalignment of the end cap and a tiny piece of poor quality plastic sticking out? It really does look like that in real life. The metal tube is very thin, much thinner than the handle bar on my mountain bike. Anyways, I still give 4 stars because the price is low and functionally it works great. It clams on the handle bar firmly and really helps reduce fatigue on my arms and back. I mount it up and slightly toward me so that I could switch to an upright sitting position on longer rides. Beside the end caps on the bar ends, there are 2 additional caps for the handle bar of the bike. The reason is because the end of the rubber grip might need to be cut off to slip these on, exposing a hollow tube. These end caps don't fit my handle bar, but might fit your bike's. Tip: don't cut off too much of the existing grip, because you'll quickly find out that your palm doesn't fit. Rather, move the gear/brake units over and slide the grips in toward the center. Tool needed: allen wrench.

Bought this for a bike tour cause I had flat bars and stupid grips. It was an absolute necessity and worked great for my trip, actually took the grips off completely and wrapped about 1.5-2 feet of grip tape around the whole thing, from the shifters to the tips of the bar ends This way I was able to use at least three positions that kept my hands from going numb, basic bar grip, outside at the corners grip, and then a top grip on the bent part of the bar ends at the top. Definitely light material and on a 1200 mile use so far on that tour have not moved a mm since I installed them. Very happy that I bought these. I have normal sized hands and I can say they were bigger than I needed, in fact they really stick up and almost look intimidating to get hit with, they give the bike a more aggressive look. I'm posting a pic to show what you can do, I wrapped the tape around the whole corner, it wasn't perfect but it did work as a grip and didn't move, I'll redo it later, the duct/electrical tape in the pic is like that cause this was a modification on the road, I had already done the tape at the top and was running out.

Over the past season, I've converted my downhill Trek (useless in the flat Midwest) into a trail/city bike, and I regularly put 40+ miles on it per day. Unfortunately, I have some arm and back issues, so despite a good fit, I tend to have numbness and back pain issues when I stay in one position for too long. I experimented with a number of wacky handlebars, aero bars, and other ergonomic hacks, but I found each one lacking. Finally, I ditched the expensive and ineffective solutions and picked up a pair of drops and boxer bar ends. I'm almost embarrassed by how well these inexpensive and totally tweakable attachments have proven to be. The ergonomic drops are vastly more comfortable than I'd anticipated, and I set the boxer bar ends up as a kind of aero bar minus the arm rests—perfect for those placid straightaways. What's more, neither option forces me to give up on the raiser bar I rely on for sharp turns and rough terrain. With three distinct hand positions at my disposal, I can comfortably ride all day, without any of the symptoms that regularly ruined my day. Whether I'm bombing downhill or pushing through a climb, the options available to me now let me achieve my all-time best performance.

I use these on my Brompton since they are easily removable when I need to fold the bike down for compact shipping. They enable me to ride erect and able to see the max of my surroundings while riding.

I have been using these bar ends for over a month now and am very pleased with them. The Profile Designs bar ends were very easy to install, are sturdy, lightweight, and offer me greater hand placement versatility while out riding. Formerly I was using the factory installed ergo handles, which had a short (2 inch?) bar end. The handles were, in fact, very comfortable. However the short bar extension, while not nearly long enough, had already broken - I suspect it was plastic rib inside the rubber nub. I really wanted something that was sturdy, reasonably lightweight, and offered ergonomic grip options. The Profile Designs bar ends fit the bill nicely. While I liked the new ergonomics with the bar ends I added handlebar tape for increased comfort. Also, pro tip: I double-wrapped the straight handlebar section between the shifters and the bar ends. These bar ends are sturdy, lightweight, comfortable, and allow me to relax my shoulders and elbows a bit when I'm out for the Sunday morning coffee ride.

I bought a great mountain bike for a steal quite a while back. The only thing I never liked about it was the Brahma Bull handlebars, a single-piece bent alloy tube that stuck out so far you really did feel like riding a Texas Longhorn. It also had a hard rubber coating with impressions that made it look like it was covered with used car tire treads. Since my wife and I were doing more riding in affluent neighborhoods among true biking aficionados, I felt I had to do something about this one detraction. I ordered these risers based on the high marks/reviews from others and they weren't wrong. Once they arrived I hacksawed off my handlebar appendages and substituted these in their place. I had to cut the handlebar very short because the tubing had been narrow at the formed bends, but I actually prefer the new slender look/feel for tight places. I also scuffed up the aluminum attachment points for a more secure mating surface for the riser clamp. The build quality looked professional and these bolted on rock solid with just the perfect, comfortable bend angle. You can't fit your entire hand on the top section of these but that's no problem. The diameter was a match for my remaining handlebar and I could transfer the old cushioning directly. The transformation is amazing! From an antiquated eyesore to a professional-looking pride and joy in just a few minutes. These were a fantastic addition that just made my bike so much more fun to show off!
