  • A Budget-Friendly Option with Decent Performance
The Pop Filter is a budget-friendly option for those looking to reduce plosives in their recordings. While the dual-layered fabric is thin, it does a decent job of diffusing air blasts and improving vocal clarity. The flexible gooseneck arm allows for easy positioning and can even be twisted 360 degrees if needed. In my experience, the pop filter noticeably improved the sound quality of my recordings, but the difference wasn't as dramatic as I'd hoped. While it effectively reduced harsh "p" and "b" sounds, it didn't completely eliminate them. Overall, this Pop Filter offers good value for its price. It's a functional tool for home studios or casual recordings, but it might not meet the demands of professional setups. If you're looking for a basic pop filter that gets the job done without breaking the bank, this is a decent option. However, if you're seeking top-notch performance and durability, you might want to consider investing in a higher-end model. ... show more

  • Works like a charm, takes up less space in my studio.
I got this to replace a larger, similar type unit, and I really like this one. First and foremost, it has dual layer protection, and it works better than my single fabric unit to eliminate plosives (P's, B's, and D's), as well as some of the sibilance (S's, CH's, and SH's) when recording vocals with my condenser mics. The gooseneck is firm, and stays in place. And so does the filter. It doesn't droop from its own weight like my old one did. The clamping portion works very well on rounded surfaces like boom mic stands, but I had a bit of difficulty using it on my smaller desktop USB-C mic with its dedicated, flat, contoured stand. I was able to attach it, but it was a bit unwieldy to do so. I like the length of this one for my compact setup, and the smaller clamp allows me to attach it to my gooseneck mount for my 'pencil condenser mic' I use as a second mic for ambient vocals, guitar, mandolin, etc. It's more compact and doesn't require a ton of room. It fits my Gator heavyweight tabletop stand as well as my old upright chrome stage stands. Most importantly, it does a great job with what it was intended for - eliminating pops and plosives. I'm very pleased with this, and the smaller size makes it easier to use and store. ... show more

  • Adds improvement to the sound quality
Setting this up deals mostly with customization rather than assembly. This is a piece you add to another equipment set. It does not include the stand for the mic but rather you attach this to a mic stand. It is very sturdy and durable. I have tested my sound with and without and you can hear the difference. The feedback was definitely at none to minimal on my cheaper mic. On my more advanced mic, the improvement was not as huge but still an improvement. I definitely think this is worth the price value. ... show more

  • A reasonably good pop filter...
You can spend simply silly amounts of money on something like this but the functionality can still be replicated by a telling someone to turn their head just a bit. I use a pop filter like this as a visual cue to maintain the proper axis when speaking into a microphone. Yes, it helps with plosive sounds and keeps excess drool off your gear. But that slight turn of the head can make or break a good audio level. The goose neck on this device is a bit fiddly. Maybe it needs to be broken-in a bit. It has a tendency to drift from its original position. Most of the other components are reasonably sturdy and the clamping mechanism is decent and adaptable to most devices. ... show more

  • Worked well for my podcast setup
This was a good low cost option to add to my mic. I have the Shure and it attached well and had no issues, does the job. It’s a good product.
