The reason I had to purchase this was due to me losing my headset mic foam. Without the foam, people can hear your fan over the mic when your in conference calls which is truely annoying. I did my research before purchasing this for my cloud headset and they fit perfectly with a little snug. My mic quality improved by filtering those external sounds such as the fan. The product is made of really nice soft material plus it comes with extra few more foams to add to your other headsets or if you simply lose the one you have. I'd like brag about this great product! I'm a bargain hunter and when I saw this deal I was a bit skeptical because of the excellent price. I'm a group exercise instructor and use these for the mics we use at the various clubs I work at. I love them! They fit a whole variety of different mics that I use at different clubs. They are quite durable and last quite a while even with washing every few uses. I tend to have to replace them because I'm losing them rather than them falling a part. They are pretty large and there's usually a little extra "poof", but the fit is usually pretty tight on any type of mic I use. These covers are very minimal in size, but not so small that they're rendered useless. I had little issue slipping one over my Astro A40 mic – though it was noticably tight. In fact, they didn't tear or stretch so much that the fabric let air/wind through. I gave a few to friends to use since I only have one mic. Every one of them were able to slip them on with ease. They're effective for mouth-breathers, people whose mic are too close – as I am guilty of – and fans on low-to-medium settings. It won't be as effective, however, if you have a fan super close to the mic nor if it's at "leaf blower" speed/pressure. I highly recommend these but also suggest that you store them where you'll remember. Keep your spares in the bag because they're easy to lose! ... show more

I used these for my Astros A50’s. I’m kind of surprised that such an expensive headset doesn’t come with one of these as it picks up a lot of wind. I live in AZ so most of day I’m playing under a fan and with the headset your friends can hear all the wind noise. After slipping this on to my mic piece, it’s been great! My friends can hear me better, there’s no wind noice, and they can’t hear me breathe. I’m not a heavy breather but the mic picks up pretty much every noise. Definitely needed, even if don’t play in room with a fan constantly on, it reduces background noise for the people you’re playing with giving you a better experience. I talk on the phone a lot via a headset, and I also make audio recordings for various reasons. Recently, in listening back to a recording, I noticed certain consonants creating sharp feedback. That's not very pleasant for the ears. I purchased these windscreens to correct that problem, and they do their job. No more consonant-induced feedback. These were slightly larger than what I thought I was ordering, but they work very well and are long enough so they can be secured to a boom mike using a small rubber band to keep from falling off.
